Do you need the full version of ableton live or could i create a decent track with just the version supplied with the launchpad? Contemplating buying this, but would it be a waste of money with no experience, or could i pick it up with practice?
i just bought one, you dont get shit with it like 5 drum tracks and a whole bunch of other crapola, wtf why scam you make you buy the full version of ableton, bullshit
im new to this kinda stuff and i really wanna get one of these, but i dont have the money to buy ableton live 8 full edition, and it say's that on the free version you get with this machine, it doesn't have looper.. now is looper looping the beats? because i dont see the point of i cant make a back beat for the music.. if it does mean this does anyone have any idea's on cheap (or even free) software that is compatible with the novatation launchpad?
@crazykidkieran I never used the Looper, I don't like it. In Ableton you can make a drum beat (or whatever) In several different ways. The Ableton Launchpad edition is fairly limited, but still you can do many interesting things.
@ialwayswinV2 the software to do that usually comes with it. all you do is click what sound you want and you drag it to the square (button) you want that sound to be assighned to.

You need to route a midi channel output to "launchpad" and that's it, play and record.
