I love how everybody reacts to Toshiro's voice is a girls. I knew it was immediately when I first started watching Bleach - mind you I am trained in acting so I am trained into listening out for that sort of thing.

It kind of makes sense seeing that the character (in the real world) would be considered between 8 - 10. I prefer Romi's voice to the American voice. No offence. It just sounds much more believable to have a woman voice it. Near in Death Note is voiced by a woman as well.

@JackichigoTG Of course!! Paku Romi is an INCREDIBLE and AWESOME female seiyuu who often dub for male characters. She dubbed for Ueki (Law of Ueki), Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist), Natsume (Gakuen Alice), Uesugi Kenshin (Sengoku Basara), Madame Red (Kuroshitsuji), Temari (Naruto), Nana (NANA), etc. Awesome right?

the voice actor for Soi Fon, Nawakami Tomoko (40) passed away on the 9th June in the afternoon after her long battle with ovarian cancer since 2008.

@sinichiechizen She was replaced in 2008/9 by Kuwashima Houko, when it became clear Kawakami-san was sick and had to have surgery. It's not like Kawakami-san passed away and the next day someone new was pulled on set.

It's too, too sad though. I'm not a Soi Fon fan per se, but Kawakami-san was awesome and such a cheerful, happy person when she was involved in live events. She'll be much missed.
