the game really has lost its mmo feel. u dont even have to leave a major city to do anythign anymore, witht he hero gear and the istant ques for bgs and dungeons, never have to find a group it has made the game go down hill, in vanilla there were no trolls cause if u were a prick no one would group with u. blizz has takin away a lot of the good things the game use to have! ~~
i think that the most fun thing that ive done on wow was kinda mean but seriously laughed so hard everytime we did it. Me and a really good irl friend of mine would go into instances and i would just misdirect a mob on my hunter to the healer in utgarde keep reg. while my buddy was a lvl 80 tank. he would bubble and we wuld make everyone wipe it was so funny to see peoples reactions. We would also go into groups and about 5 mins in say that our kid fell down the stairs and had to g to the ER.lol
I want Random Arena so bad again. It'd be fun to practice and have to not worry about winning so much. Hell i don't even need practice but it'd be nice to have fun.

I play the game for the true fun of it, as you said, the things which makes WOW fun is not only getting the gears and the tittles. That is why i refuse to play with people who are just "good" at the game. if i dont like them, i dont play with them. But if you are playing with your friends while being good at the game, i think thats what the truly fun comes from.

It's funny how such a simple concept can make me realize why I play WoW. I often login, and just AFK. I tab back in and say "Why do I still play?". Then my friend logs into Real ID, we go out to Tol Barad, and we end up having these huge 2v5 matches in Tol Barad, fighting until we die. Things like that are why I play, not for 2200 or phat purps.
My server is always having fun i think. There arent many elitist, gladiator, tryhard gamers on my server so we can all just play together on a casual level.

I actually watched it in two sittings hah.. It's easy for you to say just play with your friends for fun since you already have raided and got high end arena rating I enjoy arena's and I just take random people with me from trade chat and its fun for me. But I have never been over 1500 rating
i honestly have to admit i am doing most of the stuff you did when u were younger i left my original server because i wanted to get better like i sent my rogue to Darkspear to learn from the best and to be the best i could be and i engraved that in my mind and its been consuming me for so long. For me, what made the game unfun was sitting in Stormwind the whole time I play waiting for the game to teleport me into a dungeon. I admit, it's less time consuming, however, also less fun. :( I do understand that BGs are kind of like the same thing, and that's been a part of the game since almost release, but since they released the Dungeon Finder, there's no point in socializing with a guild anymore to run daily heroics. That was so much fun back then.
Great video i recently left a nice friendly small clan on cod striving for bigger and better things, and now i have absolutly no fun playing cod on my own so a few days ago i told the others about what i was thinking when i left and now im having a blast :D

nice video, it made me remember that the funnest time i had playing the game was lvling my first toon from 1-70 with someone i met in northshire to do the starting quests with. and @PmdTV4 i have played a ret pally and enh shammy since BC, and throughout all the buffs nerfs i had fun playing both of them because i loved the classes. and if you cant find a team around your rating to get 2200 with, play with some lower rated ppl and have fun grinding out the rating and getting to know new ppl
Nice perspective of the game man. Lately I've felt really bored aswell, just trying to get the best gear and such, and I really wanna have fun, quest, and do different stuff but my friends are more of the ''material wealth'- kinda guys. Came from a very similar spot. thought about quitting but ended up levelling alts with mates having lots of fun not worrying about how pretty my toons clothes are.
its not fun though if you roll a enh shaman for instance (me) and noone will take u in a raid and noone will do arenas with you and i just transfered to a pvp server and i did it in hoped to find teammates that i could get to 2.2k rating with but because of my class i wont be taken on ateam. thats not fun bieng forced to change a class u love because its weaks and u realize the 7 months u spent playing it was a waste thats not fun.

Although yea i agree wow is not the reason i tend to not log on much or find myself bored. Its the people i'm surrounded with. I just havent found the right group of people again.
I used to raid hardcore in vanilla and bc top 3 on our server. The people i was with i used to love and we had great time in vent the WHOLE time. Its just different now. Maybe its me thats changing, i started to play wow when i was 14. People are not so interesting and when i do find fun people they tend to be there awhile and drop out for irl reasons, or everyone goes on purge the newbs officer rants and the guild dies or isent the same place i joined.
Pure that was awesome. It made me really appreciate the friends I have in game and how even though I'm extremely busy at university I'll set aside time just to talk to them. Thanks for the outlook and keep the videos coming.

Wanting to be better at a game is never a bad thing, but making sacrifices in friends or fun level is never the way to do it. Yes, you do have to be serious to get high rating or get into heroic raids. But whats the point if you had to find a bunch of other elitists to get that achievement.
I must say that i'm not really enjoying the game anymore but that's only because my two close friends have stopped playing. When 4.2 came out i was really excited for the new arena season and the new firelands dailies, this all happened when i was holiday and when i came back i found that my friends had quit WoW to play Rift... And since then i haven't stepped a foot into arena or the new firelands questing zone. Really awesome video Pure, when i saw this in my sub box i was like OMGOMGOMGOMG!!!

I can't believe I just sat through all of that but I did because every time I would go to stop the vid, you would say something else that I agree with 100%. I started playing WoW with my brother almost 6 years ago and it was and still is one of the only things we have in common. We started doing arena together season 9 (we play disc/arms, which is can't say is the best comp for us) but we still do it just because it's fun achieving new levels and just playing together. Why did I do it? It is my far my biggest regret. I never did as stupid a thing ever again.

last night and 3 of my wow buddies ganked people outside of org and had competitions to see who could get the furthest into org on a ground mount and the winner would win gold, to have fun in wow get friends and do little stupid competitions and watch your friend get destoryed by 30 horde while trying to kill the auctioneers
but this also goes to pve, because some people cant get into raids simply because there class is junk for this fight, but it only drops stuff for that class that you wont let in

i honestly have to admit i am doing most of the stuff you did when u were younger i left my original server because i wanted to get better like i sent my rogue to Darkspear to learn from the best and to be the best i could be and i engraved that in my mind and its been consuming me for so long. For me, what made the game unfun was sitting in Stormwind the whole time I play waiting for the game to teleport me into a dungeon. I admit, it's less time consuming, however, also less fun. :( I do understand that BGs are kind of like the same thing, and that's been a part of the game since almost release, but since they released the Dungeon Finder, there's no point in socializing with a guild anymore to run daily heroics. That was so much fun back then.

Great video i recently left a nice friendly small clan on cod striving for bigger and better things, and now i have absolutly no fun playing cod on my own so a few days ago i told the others about what i was thinking when i left and now im having a blast :D

man, your videos are absolutely amazing. you made my friends come back to WoW, and now we play all five together, a perfect combo. frost dk, blood dk, holy pally, frost mage, and a demo lock. instant dungeons etc. thank you, your videos are inspiring us to have real fun.

nice video, it made me remember that the funnest time i had playing the game was lvling my first toon from 1-70 with someone i met in northshire to do the starting quests with. and @PmdTV4 i have played a ret pally and enh shammy since BC, and throughout all the buffs nerfs i had fun playing both of them because i loved the classes. and if you cant find a team around your rating to get 2200 with, play with some lower rated ppl and have fun grinding out the rating and getting to know new ppl

Nice perspective of the game man. Lately I've felt really bored aswell, just trying to get the best gear and such, and I really wanna have fun, quest, and do different stuff but my friends are more of the ''material wealth'- kinda guys. Came from a very similar spot. thought about quitting but ended up levelling alts with mates having lots of fun not worrying about how pretty my toons clothes are.

its not fun though if you roll a enh shaman for instance (me) and noone will take u in a raid and noone will do arenas with you and i just transfered to a pvp server and i did it in hoped to find teammates that i could get to 2.2k rating with but because of my class i wont be taken on ateam. thats not fun bieng forced to change a class u love because its weaks and u realize the 7 months u spent playing it was a waste thats not fun.

I used to raid hardcore in vanilla and bc top 3 on our server. The people i was with i used to love and we had great time in vent the WHOLE time. Its just different now. Maybe its me thats changing, i started to play wow when i was 14. People are not so interesting and when i do find fun people they tend to be there awhile and drop out for irl reasons, or everyone goes on purge the newbs officer rants and the guild dies or isent the same place i joined.

Wanting to be better at a game is never a bad thing, but making sacrifices in friends or fun level is never the way to do it. Yes, you do have to be serious to get high rating or get into heroic raids. But whats the point if you had to find a bunch of other elitists to get that achievement.

I must say that i'm not really enjoying the game anymore but that's only because my two close friends have stopped playing. When 4.2 came out i was really excited for the new arena season and the new firelands dailies, this all happened when i was holiday and when i came back i found that my friends had quit WoW to play Rift... And since then i haven't stepped a foot into arena or the new firelands questing zone. Really awesome video Pure, when i saw this in my sub box i was like OMGOMGOMGOMG!!!

I can't believe I just sat through all of that but I did because every time I would go to stop the vid, you would say something else that I agree with 100%. I started playing WoW with my brother almost 6 years ago and it was and still is one of the only things we have in common. We started doing arena together season 9 (we play disc/arms, which is can't say is the best comp for us) but we still do it just because it's fun achieving new levels and just playing together. Thanks for the video. :)

Champion here! but I def agree with you about the items thing everyone wants them and they will do what ever to get them. I think thats why I want to start SWTOR. For one its new love new stuff and i feel that people who play it are not going to be just full blow gear junkies. I once left a girl's house an hour early because I really good friend of mine had asked me to replace him in my guilds raid. I thought, 9 other people need an other person, so I went. Then I thought (too late though), that I wasn't the one who'd taken it on him to be there. And even if it was, I always said to myself "IRL first", but when it came to doing it, I was a huge tard. Why did I do it? It is my far my biggest regret. I never did as stupid a thing ever again.

last night and 3 of my wow buddies ganked people outside of org and had competitions to see who could get the furthest into org on a ground mount and the winner would win gold, to have fun in wow get friends and do little stupid competitions and watch your friend get destoryed by 30 horde while trying to kill the auctioneers

but, then they base class changes on 3's

but this also goes to pve, because some people cant get into raids simply because there class is junk for this fight, but it only drops stuff for that class that you wont let in
but because arena's have been out for so long they cant just say that 'next expansion no more arena' ....5m unsubs

You are the the really champ Pure!I think that may have forgotten to talk about something other then Elitist, its the fact that the vanilla and the new gamers are totally looked down on and I think that fun isnt even a word to use. Though I have to disagree with you, WoW is starting to bore me because of the fact that there are those type of people so my friends are going to play GW2 because that game isn't just about "nukin nubs" and "powning them". Im only 30mins in but its made me depressed. Realized i don't have anyone in wow that i group up with to have fun. iv been burning out of the game a lot lately then coming back only to burn out again. Maybe i'll look for a casual raiding guild to just joke around with lol
