These players are supposed to be the best and in many cases they just suck. For instance "the legend" Doyle Brunson checks at 9:10 and it's like saying "bluff me" to Antonio. And he does exactly that. If Doyle would raise it would be great play but he folds! The best players in poker are so much worse that the best in chess compared with the average players.
It wasn´t a bad play. He figured out that only hand that would call him would better one. Esfandiari is capable of making a re-raise on the river with just an ace high. Can´t really blame Doyle for checking his 99s.
Don't over-admire these guys. They are not that good in poker, only because their play is broadcasted on TV. They are just big gamblers. Not anyone has the guts to play a 300/600 game.
Yeah Corey plays are the hard rock sometimes and I've played with him before. Hes usually really comfortable at the table. It looks like he just got nervouse playing for these stakes with these guys. He's a solid player though, cool guy.
I have a lot of respect for Antonio's game. He isn't just a tournament player, he plays a great cash game. When he loses it seems to be his great plays going wrong or getting sucked out on. He has made so many great reads and plays on all HSP seasons.
I have disliked Zeidman ever since he slow-rolled Harman really badly at the 2005 WSOP. Search "Zeidman v Harman" to see it. Harman had Queens Full against his straight flush and he made a really bad speech before flipping the nuts over.
I can just imagine everyone at the table (the pros) saying that they don't want zeidmann or filipe (however you spell it) to play anymore because they never play a hand or straddle.

Fillipi is good at poker, but even he will tell you - NL hold'em is not his best game. At this game, yeah, he's a fish... but at a HORSE ring game, he would fair pretty well.
One thing they need to do is show how many players they have playing since this affects the starting hand requirements, flop play, etc....I think it would be pretty interesting

In most cardroom you can not ask the dealer to tell you the amount in the pot. felip was correct. Does the dealer do this at any other room.

One thing they need to do is show how many players they have playing since this affects the starting hand requirements, flop play, etc....I think it would be pretty interesting

Then again, HSP isn't a show to watch to learn about poker, it's more for fun.
Cause really, they don't play superb poker.
