I agree, this is hugely important to using a kubaton in any way except intstinctive, panicked flailing, as far as merchants seem to be concerned. This shows just some--but excellent ones--of what one can do w/ a kubaton in self-defense. Thanks very much to John and his brother!
Very coo. Time for me to pick up a Kubaton. I've been using a Cold Steel Koga SD-1...and as great as it is, it's a little big and unnatural looking (making it hard to disguise as a benign everyday item.

After 15 years in Kajukenbo, I can handle quite a bit of pain but the Kubaton gets me every time.
I strongly suggest people order one (well, actually it doesn't hurt to order multiple) from countycomm. The Kubaton is a light, inexpensive, fairly easy to use but highly effective defensive tool (or if you are feeling mean - its a great offensive tool as well)

They are are much more painful then Matt was showing. He has many many years training and is 240lbs or so....
