  • first heard this on the holland and holland website, wonderful.

  • Dvorak is probably my favorite composer, his slavonic dances have such variety and yet still maintain a consistent brilliance. Then there is his famous 9th symphony and the beautiful imagery created by this piece. Magnificent!

  • why can't the first 40 seconds go on forever?

  • I see you're still in love with Dvorak. Great. I think many of us have those few special bars - or even less - in some works . They never fail to touch us. But repeating them again and again really would be boring. It's the context they're in that makes them mesmerizing.

  • the first 40 seconds should be repeated over and over again. they're so awesome.

  • That's awesome !

I've never listend to classical music. But this may have opened me the door to a fully new world !

  • @receipt22 It really makes me happy that Dvorak, with the help of my late husband, may have opened a door for you to a fully new world. Keep that door open or even better, enter and discover the endless and wonderful surprises this world has to offer you!!

  • Graag eens een portret van deze bijzondere dirigent op TV en radio .

  • Klassieke zenders : geef eens een portret van deze bijzondere dirigent , die regelmatig in Nederland werkte .

  • Thanks Interceptor6. It would be interesting to know why you consider this second movement amazing. Printemps65
