You are right, however, I'm not sure about Imus, but the only company policy given to O and A from XM is; no incitement of violence or illegal activities, and do not say anything that would be libelous.

i don't buy a word of it.
the government did not kick Imus off of the air. Public pressure and sponsors put pressure on management to kick him off of the air.
the radio station is owned by a private corporation that has the right to boot someone who offends it's sponsors.
this is not a free speech case. Imus was free to joke around, and the community was free to bitch at his radio station and sponsors.

Nobody is arguing their right to kick Imus off the air. We are arguing their decision to do so. There is such a thing as "Corporate Censorship."
