  • I've noticed comments on green tree frog video's about whether or not they are aggressive, poisonous or dangerous in general. White's Green Tree frog is one of the most easy going and harmless creatures in the world. Even wild ones are easy going with being handled by humans. They are not poisonous or disease carriers instead they are actually super clean and even have anti-bacterial/anti-vial secretions. And EVEN a secretion that destroys HIV cells without harming white white blood cells :P

  • arents u going to get that? :)

  • Is it okay to let frogs hop all over your things? I always worried about it leaving some nasty disease there for me to pick up later. I'm hoping it's a myth. Its what deters me from holding frogs and toads. I have a toad.

  • @dieinterimsliebenden These frogs are actually sterile creatures.. Their skin actually secrets anti-bacterial and anti-viral substances which makes them amazingly clean..

  • @mirroredguitarist Secretes* not secrets lol..

  • @mirroredguitarist that's amazing. I've always been misinformed on that.

  • @dieinterimsliebenden Your welcome :D

  • You've had frogs and spiders on your desk...

Did prissy little schoolgirls hate you as a kid? XD

  • YOU SHOULD NAME THEM COPY AND PASTE!

  • Elvis: THE PHONE!!!

  • won't be funn an games when they pee on ya

  • puup puuup puuup puuuup, hey can you say elvis the dinner is ready and he have to come home now

  • frog: "hello?, hellooo~~"

  • LOVE THE ELVIS THE FROG VIDEOS SO MUCH THAT I MADE A PLAYLIST OF IT

  • you can handle them, just make sure your hands are a bit wet...

  • @nickprs7 don't use soap before handling them. Just rinse your hands. The soap is harmful to their skin.

  • do they ever run away if u leave them out and not watch them?

  • Can I ask you something?

I want a frog but people tell me that you shouldnt touch them(or did they say not to touch your mouth or your eyes after touching them..?)

anyway, Do you have to wash your hands very very very well after touching them?

(and I also heard that kids kissed a frog after the movie Princess and the Frog and they got very sick...;; )

  • @1mewmew1 the only reason they say not to touch frogs is purely because of the oils and acids humans produce and end up with on our skin not to mention all the dirty things we touch every day , now a frogs skin is totally different and they absorb water and oxygen through their skin so us touching them can make them sick / hurt them , but yeah if you just rinse your hands well the frog will be fine and healthy

  • @F3lken Thank you! ^ ^

  • FROG WAS GOING TO CALL 911!

    *frog picked up again*

    MISSION FAILED

  • soo cute!

  • Did you hold them in your office? o.O

  • frog : wait i'll answer it

  • apparently the oils from a humans skin hurts frogs.

so if you love these frogs, let them go, if they climb into your hand of their own free will, they're yours to pickup as you wish.

  • Those the the most beautiful frogs ive ever seen. All pudgy and shiny. ^_^

  • Should always wash hands before touching amphibians... salt, oil, lotions, etc. are bad for them...

  • i shall call him squishy and he will be my squishy!

  • My wife wants to get a cheap amphibian or reptile. Can you suggest any good pets that are small, able to keep in about a 10-20 gallon tank and are cheap? I love your frogs, they have such personality! We have been thinking of either frogs, turtles, or a corn snake or something like that. We are having a difficult time deciding. We have a 2 year old and 3 year old child but we already bought them a dog and a rabbit to play with. Can you recommend anything?

  • @Killergymsox ... If the children like squeezing things then a frog probably wouldn't be for you

But i recommend a ball python for a snake I had one for a while and he was pretty cool and a slower snake. feeding is sorta a pain though

Corn snakes are sorta fast, and if you go a little too slow they are gone forever lol

there is no real turtles that i can recommend

  • @jacklint2 We ended up getting a baby male albino corn snake. Our kids are not to play with it. They already have a bunny and a dog they can play with so this is for my wife and I alone. He is adorable :D

  • @Killergymsox corn snakes i have 2 and they love each other i also have a video of one shedding

  • the frog that jumped out of your hand was attempting to get the phone ^_^ thanks for posting these frogs

  • your frogs must love you i hope min do to :D

  • Have u thought about breeding them? Name 1 million elvis junior and the other million precilla junior ^.^

  • this type of fro and a couple others are the only ones that can be held because ther skin is differnt

  • lol he wants to answer the phone =)

  • You aren't supposed to handle them too much, but you can handle them a little.

Frogs have a semipermeable membrane over their skin that protects them, they're really sensitive, even if this variety is a bit tougher than others, the hand wetting that someone else suggested might help though, but you can never be to careful.

  • LOL U DROPPED IT LOL ^o^

  • My female whites seems to like being handled :S but i do not do it often.

  • my whites loves to hang on my finger when im typing on the computer lol :P he is on my finger while im typing this too

  • Comment removed

  • those frogs are more durable to handle, they say its not good to hold them but its true, ill give you a tip were you could hold them without getting worried about them getting hurt or sick, always wet your hands before handling them....thats it....

  • Wow. Not very smart

  • pretty cool frogs dude =P

  • I love your frogs!

I have a little dainty tree frog I rescued from a bunch of bananas in a shop.

  • ur frog wanted to answer the phone hehe

  • by keeping their stuff seperate do u mean like the soaking container? my frog currently sleeps in this reptile cave(that the ppl at the pet store said he needs) but now i'm thinking its unatural but he seems to like it. and i have a 20 gallon aquarion that is unfortunatly horizontal but its packed with branches so i figured it will be ok. Are these frogs usally social?

trying to get as mush advise as i can befor getting a second frog ^_^

  • hey how is it keeping them as a pair? i have one whites tree frog male hes about a year old in a 20 gallon aquarioum. i was thinking of getting another one but not sure how they would act togethor

  • They get on fine - the female is dominant and on occasions they will have a go at each other, but I think they need each other!

  • @gotowo I thought it was the woman that belonged in the kitchen.

  • be careful, a big whites can eat a small whites. if u want one, get one about the same size n age n keep their stuff seperate

  • @OCTOPUSGIRL just slowly introduce them while monitered turn of the light and watch them

  • wow. they're beautiful!

are their eyes always that black? how do they do that? they look sooo cute.

  • sum 1 please help................my whites frog is brown and i want him to look green how do i do this please help

  • They change to their environment - make it green and so will they!

  • thank u

  • really thats awsome

  • yeah they could kinda be compared to chameleons. cause they also change their color depending on their mood ;)

  • @gotowo WTF they change colour!?

  • @gotowo what happens if you put one on a mirror?

  • @HALE2daKINGbaby

i have the answer, 1st, the need green background, 2nd, warm them up, i used to be like that, but now, it's no more :D

  • aaaaaaaaaaw.... so cute!!

  • I was once cleaning my turtle cage, and I had a baby snapping turtle. Well, apparently, soapy water doesn't bother them, because he honestly was having a blast in the water (he fell in on accident). I think he liked the suds the most, because he'd pop his head in and out and just experiment with them.

Grew up and set free when he finally got too big to feed him by hand. :P The point is reptiles and amphibians are more tough than we give them credit; so I think your frogs are okay.

  • you shouldn't have set him free, a turtle whos been fed all his life will not no how to find food on its own, it might be dead now

  • i had lots of frogs and toads, and they all loved being handled, especially my white's, and he was going on 8 yrs old when i had to give him away (moved across country, etc).

  • ^_^ Wonderful little guys! Yeah, the oils in your skin can be pretty irritating to their own skin, but washing them with just water before and keeping your hands damp while handling them eases up on the irritation by a lot. They really are great frogs for handling a little.

  • are they still alive today??

or was that just 'show and tell' lol!!!

  • you arent supposed to handle them because they breathe through their skin and any bacteria from your skin (which everyone had lots of) can easily be very dangerous for them, so just wash your hands (rinse ALL soap off well) before handling them and it should be ok.

  • actually fo JUST dumpy white's you are supposed to hold them.

THEY LOVE IT at lleast Zelda does anywhay

  • looks as almost ur flipping us off, nice job though.

  • cute
