As Michael Shermer so beautifully said it: "Saying a bunch of fuzzy words sprinkled with some scientific expressions, doesn't mean anything" - They know exactly how to manipulate you. I myself was fascinated by Deepak when I read his first book. But after Sam Harris and Michael Shermer pointed out his obvious lack of knowledge, and attempt to cover it up with scientifical non-meaning words, I realized that Deepak is just another guy who will say anything to earn money.

When he re-established divine worship it was done as a political act, not as a religous one.

Teilhard, one of my great Catholic Jesuit heroes who, of course, was silenced by the Catholic Church for his brilliant writing--particularly on evolution.

Merci bien, Jeanne, for this wonderful "channeling" of Teilhard de Chardin's voice and passion. Few know (Dr, Chopra seems not to know) that Teilhard's Jesuit superiors tacitly allowed him to set up a committee of lay people as his literary executors; they had ownership of his manuscripts, which were then published in book form immediately following his death. I remember reading them in the late 50s, having just embraced Catholicism myself. Authentic Christian mysticism!

Man is spiritual as a longitudinal wave system (primary) which is coupled with a finite transverse wave system (secondary), namely, this humanoid body of birth and death. Out of ignorance (avidya) man has lost the ability to decouple, freely at will, from the transverse system, i.e, the humanoid. Instead he is bound down to it experiencing its pain, its death, and rebirth.
