The cadenza of this movement is just about the most emotional thing I've ever heard. It just tears me up every single time I listen to it. The final chord with that suspended 4th which seem to last into eternity is almost too much for me to take! Chihauhua!

The low strings with this orchestra are just amazing.

Unlike most contemporary orchestral videos, there are many extended shots of Bernstein - and they are completely appropriate and justified - he is simply so charismatic and most embodies the music out of anyone - look at 1:48 to the climax at 2:40 onwards! Simply awe-inspiring...
