  • Most times it pays to shorten the arm on the control surface

  • oh ok i was ganna say, even out doors planes can fly fine on metal servo arms but indoor not so sure as i have nether done that before.

  • why buy 2 new servo arms when you can get one a metal one whitch is very long (ment for 3d 100cc planes) for only a little more and would be so mutch stronger ?

  • @jack10996 you could if you want to use a big heavy metal servo arm. i do mostly foam indoor 3d so every gram counts. but thats a good idea for people who don't care that much about each gram.

  • Man that's great.. I wish you'd showed how to hook up the ailerons.

  • @tenrazo215 you can use anything. some people i have seen use Popsicle sticks

  • heat gun should be mounted on a EDF jet would look like afterburner XD

  • Your right about the servos being better than E-flights. E- flight generally has decent electronic equipment but their micro S75's are TRASH!

  • 1001 uses for shrink wrap in 1985's issue of RC pilot. You wouldn't believe the ingenious things you can do with fuel line & shrink wrap

  • Can't you simply link in a hole nearer to the surface on horns? You would get larger deflections

  • i like that gun!!!!

  • I probably would have laced the arms together with some thread before the CA and shrink wrap.

  • Thanks. I never knew what shrink tube was or how to use it. I have a bunch that can now be used!

  • Thats so freakin cool man! Very genuine. Thanks for the vid brol

  • @heberorozco, ok well it sounds to me like the C-rating on your battery is a little low. you would want something ln the 25-30C range. i think that's why you hear your motor slow down is because your battery can not handle the current draw that your motor is requiring. or one of you cells might be going bad. anyway it's hard to tell becuase i have not seen your plane. i would say at 500G you should for sure be using a 3S battery. 1800Mah might be a bit heavy though. in my Opinion

  • @heberorozco most of the time. what plane do you have?

  • can be done with some scrap plastic, food containers and the likes, Cut a slice, drill the outer holes, and a center one - and use that instead of the expensive Dubro horns (the are not cheep here in Denmark)

  • Good video!

Instead of the super glue and heat shrink, how about small self taping screws throught both arms?

  • Hey thanks,

I don't like to use screws because i like to save as much weight as i can. especially with 3d planes. every gram counts and screws add up quick

  • Yes Sharing with others is what it's all about.

  • Thanks My Friends, It's Videos Like this that show new pilots how to do stuff that we all have learned with time but can help them learn quick!

  • this is very true, it's nice when people share information. it makes things much easier when you know what to do.
