How to remove soap scum and hard water stains in the shower

How about using trisodium phsopahte (TSP) to eat up the calcium and soap scum deposits. For actual problem tile you can try oven cleaner as well.

To avoid the build up of scum and grime, in the first place, how about keeping a scrubber or broom nearby and wash down after every shower.
