i reckon the grey knights gene seed came fro horus i reckon as he was dying by the hands of the emperor he realised he had been manipulated and corrupted by the 4 dark powers and then in some finial attempt to redemm him self he gave he seed to the emperor so , with hes essence which would be perfect if you think about it to fight demons considering what he would have known about deamons at that time and the power he would have over them .kinda backward htinkin gi know but just think about it

well even though horus is a primarch he didnt go through 666 trials to prove he is uncorruptable like the grey knights have, its not the seed its the soul the gets corrupted.
Its not their gene-seed that stops them from turning. Their faith/beliefs stops them, that, and they're constantly MIND WIPED to prevent any temptations from the likes of Slaanesh. They're also emotionless... Grey Knights feel no emotion.
So that debunks your theory that their Gene-seed is what stops them from turning.

I supose many of the original Legions are clones, but i read in many places that when you raid and take slaves/chaos worshiperer they would sometimes too some to be converted to space marines.
And there nothing saying they dont harvest their fallen gene-seeds. Or use loyal marines Honsou of the Iron Warriors( from Storm of Iron novel) was turned into a space marine using a Imperial Fist gene-seed,
there are indeed many ways for chaos to get its numerous warriors. slaves taken and have chaos gene-seeds forcefully implanted within them. willing former loyalist marines now converted to chaos. but many have been created thanks to the scientific experiments condicted by fabius bile. aparently he has discovered the lost technology used to create the primarchs as well as other secrets. but who knows.
Yes you are right about fabuis, and i dont deny that the legions own part of their men power to him. But considering their nature (the Chaos Lords i mean) i dont see the whilling to become dependent on fabuis services, so i belive while they might use him, they must also take alternative means to boost their ranks.
After all i dont see someone like fabius doing that service from a price that is less then your soul.

There is one big proof,that GK are not from Horus...they do not exist before Horus Heresy. They were created after heresy.
Before heresy,it was believed in no religion,no spirits,daemons,gods,pixies,ghosts etc. Mankind had no need for such a chapter as Grey Knights.

80% of all the Chaos Marines are now clones. YEs, Chaos marines have cloning technology :)
Where as the Chaos Marine gene-seed is corrupt and their marines are simply cloned, the Space Marine gene-seeds are slowly running thin :)
