Christine and Jimmy...thanks so much for sharing this with us. I'm glad Christine your in a Beautiful area like you are to be going through this procedure. I do hope that this treatment helps you~ Please let us know how your feeling. Big hugs to you and Jimmy too.
I wish you guys the best and the best of luck. How do they detect the amount and type of heavy metals in the bone? Do they test for it and give you an amount like 30mg? What specific heavy metal did Christine have?
Just curious as I have heard of the therapy, but not anyone's specific case. Thanks...
This is our first week here, Kent, so we're still in the process of figuring out how bad the heavy metal issue is. After a few days of the chelation treatments, they will do urine, blood, and stool samples to send off to a lab to measure the specific heavy metals that are in her body. Doing the first few days of chelation releases most of the heavy metals so they can be measured. We'll have the lab results by the end of the month. Most likely it's lead and mercury, but we'll know more soon.
If it does, maybe I will try it. What do I do? Can I just ask to be tested for heavy metals? I am pretty sure my infertility is my PCOS, but if this helps you and Christine, I want to try.
There is a Chelation facilty closer to you than Hilton Head....Biogenesis Medical Wellness in Landrum, SC...Dr. Theodore Roseman...has been around for years and has written several books on Chelation...
I appreciate the heads-up about Dr. Roseman. Dr. Westman from Duke University recommended Dr. Hickey to us and he's a BIG TIME low-carb supporting physician.
Please keep us updated on how Christine feels and how well this is working for her. I am very interested in this as I suffer from autoimmune disorders as well. I also wonder if my doctors would recommend/refer me to something such as this.
isnt that low blood pressure?

How on earth could I find a doctor who would be willing to do this near Montreal?
sonia989 3 years ago
You might try Googling chelation and Montreal to see, but it's such a niche practice you may have trouble. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

THANKS Jen! The doctor said some of our infertility issues are from the heavy metals, too.

You'll need to see a specialist like Dr. Hickey who does this kind of thing. I doubt your PCP would do this. Best wishes to you!

Very Very interesting video! I am going to check out the Dr.'s website and read more about this process. {{hug for Christine}}
Sadekat 3 years ago
There's not much on his web site about the process of chelation, but you can Google it to find all sorts of stuff about it.
livinlowcarbman 3 years ago
Yea, I found that out right after I hit "post comment". I will google it though :)

That's why I want to do a podcast interview with him to have him share more about this procedure. He's one bright fella!

Will do! This is unconventional just like low-carb, so we are even a little skeptical. But if it works, we'll be singing it from the mountaintops!
