Another great performance by the wonderful Amy Winehouse.....You know,I really could do without that synthetic percussion on beats 2 and 4. Probably someones attempt to make it sound more contemporary. Just gets in the way and dumbs it down IMHO...RIP Amy. You are gone too soon, but leave behind many fans and believers...

she got it. she understood. she was the master. No one can replace her. Her interpretation of everything she covered was amazing. she breathed new life into a song and made it her own. amazing. genius. ....still gutted.
She has the tune nailed.....but who f------ up on drums. The drummer obviously didn't listen to the James Moody version. But Amy was great. God, if she had gotten clean and sober and stayed that way and perhaps let Tony Bennett give her some sage advice.
She nailed it. One of my favorite songs. My mom used to play it over and over ...and nod. It took me through my teen years on WBLS-FM Frankie Crocker's theme song. I'm 55 and still singing this song (in the shower) ;-) I wish Amy could have gotten help. Poor thing. She always looks terrified on stage, like she can't wait to get off ...the stage. Thank heavens for videos. ~~~ RIP <3
To appreciate this you must hear the Sax version THEN listen to this version..You appreciate her incredible tone, octive and voice control to pull this off.. VERY DIFFICULT
@stafoonja she wasn`t fond of a lot of the production on frank. she found it hard to listen to later on. one has to overlook that irritating hammer in the background.
having spent my long life in the buisness this is fantastic and without dought one of the trickyist songs to sing ive ever heard,geogie fame recorded it years ago and so did george benson,and the latter is also brilliant. not for you cabaret artists sorry could be out of your depth..
