How do you justify using a taser on a guy who is already in the back of the police car with handcuffs on. The answer can be found in what the cop was saying. "Are you done?... shut up!... are you done?... shut up!... " Apparently you can be tasered for saying something this bunch of badge carrying thugs don't like. Not one of them said one word to try and calm down what was an obviously mentally disturbed man. I guess deescalating a situation isn't as much fun a using a taser. Fire them all!

It is obvious this detainee has some serious mental issues the local police department is not experienced in handling. The resort to violence by the officers is a normal reaction as the general consensus in the police community is "everybody is a criminal". Anytime I hear somebody yell "shoot me" I have to wonder whether the officer has the capacity to deal with an individual who is obviously on the brink or totally insane.

Look, here's the thing, I have known a number of cops and prison guards (there are 13 prisons in my county), and behind closed doors and off the record, they talk about how much they love giving criminals what's coming to them. Many of them really get off on this stuff, and their position of power and authority. These sorts of jobs tend to attract those sorts of people. I have seen it first hand, over and over again.

Given that the cops are in a position of authority, it is absolutely imperative that they act in a mature and professional manner. I've worked in jobs before where the clients were being belligerent and unreasonable, and although I wanted to, I wasn't allowed to use deadly force in order to quiet the customer.

You're right,  I just saw justice done that day. Taser boy had a nasty habit of beating up his old lady and threatening passers by from his third floor balcony every day after getting liquored up. He made the neighborhood even less pleasant than it is. He's gone now, the end justified the means in this case!
