  • 2015 graduate !

  • 4 people are jealous uwo students.

  • Proud to be a future Queen's grad :)

Arts and Science Class of 2015

  • Chose Queen's over McGill, UofT and UBC. Graduating now with huge regrets, not because it was a bad university experience (Queen's has great school spirit and community) but because of its slipping academic quality as an institution. Just in the four years, labs have been cut in first/second year and curricula/coursework degraded due to huge funding cuts/deficit. Please reconsider your other options!

  • 3:05 - I love Queen's, I do, but someone needs to fix the Roman numeral for 4.

  • i miss queens a lot!!

  • Im in grade 11..can anybody tell me what average (%) i need leaving high-school to get accepted in the sciences at Queens??

  • @singastar77

I just got accepted into Queens with a 91% average.

however the competitive average required is 82% for bachelors of Science.

  • so damn expensive, but w/e. I really want to go to Canadian "Ivy Leaguy" school.

  • @snergs thats just a stereotype

never have i ever had a single problem with a person since i came here

  • Queen's University Belfast wins :D

  • @CalmlessOcean Nothing.

  • @game1208 You have lots of time to research, visit the universities and make an informed choice. Both are excellent universities.

  • @Douglas1102 I am not a Queen's Grad my the best doctor I have had was educated at Queens. I have had numerous doctors over the years. He was not just a great doctor, he was a great human being.

  • @Ammcrosbie Times Magazine World University Statistics and Rankings 2010

  • @Meh751 You stated not one of the best 10 in Canada. Times is American and you are talking of the World scale. I was speaking of Queen's rating within Canada (McLeans Magazine) 2010 Queens is third in Medicine and last year is was second in Canada in Medicine. McGill is right up there at the top too. I have two friends from McGill.

  • @mmcrosbie Did you go and read the Times study? McCleans is a student SURVEY whereas the Times is an assessment by students, professors and journalists. Times did the whole world yes, however they also nicely rank the universities by country so you can go and see the list. Yes McGill is a good university I never said anything about them, I was specifically referencing Queens. Also Medicine is a separate school within Queens and is not included on the study since it is not considered a program.

  • @Meh751 Thanks for clarifying this.

  • Funny but for the arrogance of the Queen's students I've met it is not even in the top ten Canadian universities for anything but their commerce program....

  • @Meh751 I'm not sure sure about that. Where do you get your facts?

  • Oh... and don't forget to see how their diversity rating compares to other Canadian Universities, after having lived here I'm surprised they don't advertise the rating in this video :)

  • I have the grades to get into UBC, U of A, and Queens.

I will be applying to all those places next year...

but I don't know what I will choose!

UBC is my dream school but it is pretty far away from home (I live in Ottawa).

    Any suggestions?

  • @Chloe110101 Well, I guess it depends on what you want. Do you want a sense of Ontario history? Then go to Queens. Do you want a younger university? Go to U of A or UBC. I live in BC and went to SFU, but I wish I had been able to go to an Ontario university (looking back), but I am of Scottish Heritage and I long for my roots.

  • is it really that hard to get in queens if your from the west? or is it better just to go to UBC?

  • @toldyouiwillgetcha I guess the only way you can find out is to apply to both universities. If you are living in BC and are accustomed to BC, UBC would be the easiest university to attend. Obviously, if you live in BC, and want to get into Queens it is going to cost you a lot more money - you need to travel and make a lot of changes - address etc. I assume you are coming directly from high school? If you are already attending university in BC and have credits, they may not be transferable.

  • What does your average have to be if you want to go into Film?

  • WESTERNNNN!

But ehh, Queen's is alright. ;)

  • the presenter sounds like a jock, seriously

  • @CalmlessOcean

    Why?

  • Thank you for attempting to sway people's opinions by making up things that do not exist. If anyone is reading/watching this and wondering if they should go to Queen's - do it. The university is awesome and this person I am replying to is the first person I have ever heard say anything negative about Queen's. Good day.

  • Well, you have a looooooot of time left for that.

  • I really miss Queen's. I never realized how truly great it is until I went to another school.

  • I had the choice of UBC, Western, and McGill. Never regret choosing Queen's!!!!

  • I'll be there next year and I'm so damn excited.

  • Seriously though, I am proud to be a Queen's grad. (Sci '07)

  • @Boggle7

    What did you study?

  • Interesting video that shows an extremely idealized perception of campus. Not really accurate but informative enough I suppose.

  • coool my sister is dear !!!!!!!!

  • 07 econ from Queen's!

  • Nice promo. I graduated in 1975 Civil. Am always be proud to say to others: I'm from Queen's.

  • anyone know where i can find pictures of the dorms? I've seen one picture an it was small and looked horrible. i know dorms aren't great but I've seen dorm much better than the one i saw for queens.

  • don't fool urself, the dorms are kinda shitty

some are new and renovated, others suck. its tthe lucky of the draw really.

  • Really? I was thinking of going there... Please tell me more about Queen's, because I really dont want to make a bad decision

  • No school is perfect and all about the learning. There is going to be drinking and having fun, obviously. Oh, and engineers' pranks. But it's a promo video.

    I'm going there next year,.
