  • jackie is also an evangelist/missionary

  • O snap they have a christmas album? I thought the one they are coming out with now was their first? Love this video has so much info thank you!!!

  • very well put together, did not know too much about them, but now i do, i love there songz!!!!

  • Twinkie looks just like Kierra when she was younger.

  • This is from 1979

  • I liked this version of "Nothing To Lose". It's a little hard to find though but I managed. I also liked this tribute as well. You know I always said that Twinkie was my faavorite but Denise and Jackie ain't far behind. I have a thing for the oldest siblings since I the oldest in my family too.

  • THIS WAS NICE.... GOOD JOB!!!!

  • Thanks, man!

  • That was awesome!!!!

  • I know how amazing Dr. MMC was, but I'm trying to get my head around some things in this video. The Fisk Jubilee Singers were recorded in the 20s. Do they not count as a choir? And they were singing in parts. So how does MMC get credit for introducing parts and being the first to record a choir? Again, not trying to take anything away... no one could take away anything from this awesome family.

  • I think when they say that. They are not talking about the harmony; they are talking about the separations (perhaps its called the special). You know when the sopranos sing, then the altos and so forth then come back together real fast. I'm not expert and if you can understand what I'm trying to type (my hats off to you). It's harder to express that concept in writing for me than it is to say it. (Plus I am not an expert, but thats what I have been told about that harmony thing)

  • I love that "Clark Sister" organ run @4:33-:35! Twinkie ended a lot of songs that way during this era

  • Yeah I heard that too.

  • nice

  • thank you for posting this... this is awesome.. i love to hear Dorinda talk.lol. thye sound sooo full its great!

  • Where is denise and why isn't she singing anymore?

  • Ver nice powerful; The Clark Sisters (including their mother) are powerful indeed and they look fabulous too.

  • I LIKE THAT CRACK IN DENISE VOICE!

  • i love denise voice.... she is a sanger too,., even now!!!

  • sound like one of 'em sayin "that's what momma said sing" at the beginning...lol

but i enjoy this song. i listen to it everyday

  • Why is Sincerely sooooo hard to find? I can't believe you even had a picture of it!

  • denise is one of them chicks that talks like an alto but sing soprano a real natural sound!

  • As a reminder - Twinkie is divorced from John and focusing on raising John John.

  • Go on then girls with theses docterate degrees. They are some beautiful girls but of course they took after their mother: The Dr. Mattie Moss Clark may she rest in peace from her labor

  • they all are anointed and can sing like no others......they are all goregous also

  • Twinkie name is Elbernita "Twinkie" Clark-Terrell

she is mary to John Terrell II

her son name is John Terrell III

  • I am completely aware of this, but I do appreciate your comment.

  • I do not think that landzaatw's comment, was meant to be insolent or facetious. At any rate, I really enjoyed the video; great job and remain blessed at all times.

  • LOL...I didn't take it that way, really. I apologize if my response came across in an unseemly manner, and I thank you for the comment & accolades. Be blessed also.

  • I had to come back to rate the video, I am sorry I forgot!

  • does anyone know what happened to Denise? I no longer see her with them?

  • She is now Dr. Denise Clark-Bradford. Look her up on MySpace for further update. The Lord has done much with her!

  • where is Denise now and what is she doing and why isn't she singing with the rest of the Clark sisters. Because for a moment I thought she was dead, don't mean too sound ignorant, just asking.

  • That's not an "ignorant" question @ all...refer to Volfire2's comment. Denise left the group to focus on her growing family, and her own ministry.

  • I love this performance! Most of the Clark sisters were just babies when performing this song. It's amazing how mature they were at such a young age; a lot like another musical family; the Jackson 5.

  • You know, I was telling someone else the EXACT same thing (in reference to TCS being like "The Jackson 5" of Gospel Music). Thanks for the comment!

  • these women were grown in 1976 except karen she was about 16,dorinda 19, twinkie 21, denise about 23and jacky 25 cuz she's 9 or 10 yrs older than karen so they were not babies by far

  • Jacky is workin this bottom!!! So so where is Denise? I heard that Mattie Moss sat her down for havin a baby out of wed lock... Does anybody know the truth???

  • lol...where are you originally from?

  • This is a great song "Nothin to Lose" Hallejuah

  • It is one of my all-time favorites.

  • Love this amen

  • Thanks!

  • this was wonderfully done...God bless you for this

  • Already blessed & highly favored...thanks for stopping by!

  • You did an outstanding job, I appreciated your efforts.

  • I appreciate your accolades.

  • what happened to Denise

  • Wonderfully done.

  • Thanks!

  • Beautiful tribute! God bless the Clark Sisters. Hallelujah!

  • I appreciate the comment...there is none like TCS!

  • Beautifully Done

  • Thanks!

  • What happened to Denise yall? Why did she stop singing with them?

  • There have been many rumors circulating for many years as to why Denise is no longer with the group. The official word (which I will subscribe to because I don't believe in carrying trash from one yard to the next) is that she left the group to begin her own ministry and to raise a family.

  • hey you missed an album cover

  • Yeah...I realized that AFTER I had posted it, but didn't feel like taking it down and re-posting it.

  • oh, cool. well i thank you for posting

i have never seen or heard jesus has alot of love to give, but the others i have.

the album you missed was one of the album covers i used to look at all the time because i liked that thier pictures were drawn. the other album was sincerly because i would look on the back and ask, is that really dorinda? she looked so different when she was pregnant.

    anywho thanks again

  • Thanks for responding! Come to think of it, I omitted two covers; "Best" (with the sketches of the sisters) and their second album, "Mattie Moss Clark Presents The Clark Sisters". I actually wish I HAD these albums, as they are probably collector items @ this point (if anyone has them and is looking to sell, HOLLA @ me...LOL). Dorinda was actually pregnant on two of the album covers, the other being the album entitled "Jesus Gave Me Nothing To Lose".

  • This is really put together nicely. Job well done. Thanx DiAcorea

  • No...THANK YOU! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • yes.. i have this record!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • beautiful! twinkie was tearing up that low part!

  • When does Twinkie NOT tear up that low part! LOL She is one of the best tenors I've ever heard, male or female.

  • great job!

  • Thanks!

  • i wonder how good the tribute put together by the Recording Academy will be. for those who may not know, the Clark Sisters are getting the President's Merit Award June 8.

  • What a wonderful tribute!!!!

  • Thanks...just something I put together, to accompany one of my favorite songs by TCS.

  • They sound good. Get it yall.
