I tabbed it out the intro and the first verse in the video description. That should get you started. If you have any further questions, just let me know.
i was inspired to play uke by George Harrison himself.. luv your version. i have a baritone uke, and hope to get to know this song's strum pattern better so i can play it myself :)
Okay I know I must be getting annoying, but I LOVE this song and your version is just AWESOME. I love just coming to this page and leaning back and listening to your version of the song. It relaxes me. Thanks again Mr. Marti for the joy you bring me when I listen to this song.
No problem, Jeff. Sooner or later you'll get bored with it though. I remember when I was your age I'd run my favorite recordings into the ground too! At one point I think I had The Beates' Sgt. Pepper's album memorized verbatim!
Hahaha. Well its gonna take a LONG time before I get tired of this recording. Music has to be GREAT for me to run it into the ground. So that says something about your recording. Just do me a favor and don't stop making videos no matter what the "Haters" say. :)
I actually have had too many "haters," believe it or not. It's not likely I'll stop making videos any time soon, unless You Tube suspends my account or something. Then I'll just upload to some other site.
Oops! What I meant to say is I have NOT had too many "haters." By far, most people who have commented on my videos have been very kind. There have only been a very few, probably no more than a half dozen ugly comments that I've had to delete. Now spam is a different story, I've delted dozens of comments that have had nothing to do with the video they were supposedly commenting on!
If for some reason my YT account is suspended, in all likelihood I'll probably just open another one, but If I have to move to another site, it'll probably be LiveVideo where I already have an account, but am not really doing anything with at the moment.
Wow! Great stuff! I have never heard that tune before. I don't know what the original sounds like but yours is incredible. And what fantastic words!! I think music has an amazing ability to not only communicate but educate and heal and...well...inspire people to do what they do...which is just about anything!! Very inspirational! THANKS!!
Yeah, boy, I sure wish he'd share his arrangement for While My Guitar Gently Weeps. He's asked everyone who's put it up on the internet to take it down -- unfrotunately before I was able to download it!
It's a tenor. I sent you the chords. I tried to place them ove the words where the changes occur, but YouTube's message system squished them together. You should be able to figure it out though. It's pretty simple.
That is one of the highest compliments that anyone has ever paid me. I am flattered beyond measure. Now I need to hear from someone who is less than impressed with my performance, or I'm going to have a hard time getting through doorways with my over-inflated ego!
Jack, Good song. Everything has a beginning. You have steped out in faith and you done it. This is what really every christian face in their lives. For our hearts are renewed when we accept the Lord Jesus in our hearts and then we have have to step in new territory and change things around.
It's always a risk playing a song by The Beatles or even a former Beatle, because u never know whether u might annoy a fan who thinks u've ruined the song. I'm glad u approve, especially since George was your favorite Beatle! Of the four, I think George is the one I would really have liked to spend some time with, though I think Paul would be fun to meet also.
LIKE IT??? I LOVE IT!!!! "Isn't It A Pity" is one of my favorite songs on the "All Things Must Pass" album! I love that entire record, "Jam" disc and all! Me and my bud did a cover of "If Not For You" and did it in the style of Georges' version instead of Dylans. Great job on this one!
Thanks Matt! I had all of George's albumns back in the day, even Wonderwall and Electric Sounds! I used to listen to Wonderwall for hours on end. George truly was the dark horse.
Wow! "Electronic Sounds" huh? That one's pretty rare. I won a contest on the radio back in late '95 right after the "Anthology" series was aired on T.V.; the question was "what was the first album released by Apple Records?" Alot of people called in saying "The White Album" but I consulted my Beatle books and found it was "Wonderwall." I was the last call they were going to take and I won! It was great.
Very nice! A ukelele version is good to hear, since George Harrison played a lot of ukelele. This is also one of my favourite of his songs, and this is an excellent version. :)
"And because of all their tears, their eyes can't hope to see the beauty that surrounds them, isn't it a pity?" ...One of my favourite lines ever.
That would be fun. I used to go to an Old Time Country jam in Graysville, GA, not too far from here. They did some bluegrass too, but I haven't been there in about a year.
You claim to be "only pretty good" at the guitar, yet it also takes a special talent to sing along with any instrument. Well done! Maybe you should visit Venice and buy a gondola! lol Take care and thanks also for enclosing the lyrics!
Pretty good is not bad, but I have to be honest. There are guitar players who've been playing for a year or two that play far better than I. Part of it is that though I love playing the guitar, I don't have the discipline to become a great guitarist. But I appreciate the gondola idea! That might be fun!
Well, the ukulele is a little tricky for a guitar player in that it has 2 less strings and one of the strings that on a guitar would normally be a bass string is another treble string, but if u say I played well, praise the Lord! Thank u 4 your encouragement!
I never did either before about a month or so ago. I've been playing guitar for over 40 years, but I'm only pretty good at that. Thanks for your comment!

heylover3, the tuning is g.C.E.A, it's a tenor ukulele, but the tuning also works with the concert or the soprano ukuleles i think.

Guitmartiman... This is amazing. I wish George went onto the ukelele more often, althought Paul has done that in "Something" in George's memory.

This is great man! I love it!
Only thing that would make it better... would be if you'd send me a list of the chords and the tuning you use ;)
Thanks!
