This sounds like it was recorded at some cafe where people were going about their business at lunch time and cigarette smoke was wafting around and the smell of fresh coffee was everywhere with warm food. That's how I picture it. That's why this is magical. If you close your eyes, you're immediately taken back and are literally there in person in that cafe for a few minutes live in 1940-something.

The complete set of "Integrale" CDs [About 20 altogether] is an archive of everything in sound recorded by Django...including radio interviews, bad recordings from gigs, wonderful stuff [mostly] but a very expensive collection...I'm saving up to buy some more.
