  • I watched this movie over 20 times, once 3 times in one night (the first time I seen it...thinking I missed something), showed it to 5 people...let someone borrow it and haven't seen my dvd since. :( This movie leave a person wanting more at the end of this movie.

  • She died in 1987. I think it was suicide. Very sad.

  • squeeze o vision. annoying.

  • The entire cast in this movie were outstanding and mesmerizing. The movie was so authentic and genuine in its presentation. There were countless social problems of that era showcased such as racism, predjuice, child abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, rape and poverty. The blind teenage girl was also withheld spiritual, academic and social education. She never ever heard of Braille. Inspite of all these horrendous acts happening to her she continues to have the ability to embrace life!

  • I first saw this as a boy in the late 60s. It left a strong impression on me. This was a ground breaking film, much more so than Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. The kissing scenes had to be deleted when this film was first shown in the South back in 1960s.

  • my favorite classic film thank you so much for uploading :)

  • polecam ksiazke na podstawie ktorej nakrecono ten film:) ''skrawek błękitu''

  • "She needs a recorder with sounds of the Ocean, she could be on any beach in the world!"

  • i remember seeing this one back when they had the drive-ins,i was about 5 years old at the time, and i cant remember if i saw it at the Fort Worth twin,or the Cherry Lane.all i know is i was watching it with my big sister, and it seemed we had 2 go up some stairs, and watch it on a roof of some kind, and i remember right behind us,was a railroad track and the trains were always going by.

  • This movie 's barely begun and I'm already in tears, thanks for posting.

  • Sidney Poitier's character is the sweetest man ever!!! He is making me tear up because of his kindness to her!!

  • @rbain007 Men like him are few and far between, but they are out there.

  • @calalilygirl Thank you for stating a positive and inspiring comment about men. I'm around so many women that have such negativity about men that it's very depressing. So many of them have given up on the idea of a good relationship and are convinced that there are no good or nice men left. I may never have found a man to be my own soul mate, but I still also believe that there are some good ones out there. I hope you find a man like him for yourself, if you haven't already.

  • @stitchesful Yes he is gentle, kind and genuinely cares about her.
