My reasoning behind this is that the person who executed her is also a murderer, and he or she has most likely exectued (killed) more than 7 people. I really think that execution is the easy way out. If I was sent to jail I would want to be executed to get out of that place.I do believe she was a hurt woman but honestly she was conditioned that way.I do believe she would have killed again so life in prison would have been appropriate. All in all she was a crazy killer who hurt a lot more than 7 men (their families) so the death penalty was not out of line either. Moral of the story i think she would have suffered more if she was left alive.

@bribiechler1 that is a tough subject, I would not go as far to say that she is a victim though... she murdered people. Plus, I am sure it costs a lot of money to lock someone up in a psych ward for life. My vote is that they did the right thing. An eye for an eye. Shes lucky the justice system got to her first.

I do think she was crazy, or possesed or both and I think maybe life in prison would have been sufficient, but it may be true that the cops knew, let her do it to profit in some way. I would not put that past the cops at all, a lot of cops out there are just as sick as her.

I do not think that she should have been executed as i do not believe in the death panalty. My reasoning behind this is that the person who executed her is also a murderer, and he or she has most likely exectued (killed) more than 7 people. Also, Aileen was not deemed insane at the time of her execution. I believe this women has been given an unfair go at life, and maybe she deserved a second chance. I think with help she could have been seen fit to re-enter main stream society.

She already died the day her father kicked her out of his home when she was 14. Her life was hell and I truly believe she wanted to die and be with Jesus. Not sure if she went to heaven but I think God knows the circumstances of her life and that she did try to live a better life before it got out of control. Why keep her alive so we can study her brain as one person posted? She wanted to be left alone....and studying her "brain" would have not given her any sort of freedom even in prison.

I believe she should have got life. I don't think she should have been executed. I think she also should have been given the option of counselling. She had been through a number of horrific ordeals in her life and this will have been hard to deal with. Some people can't cope well under situations like that. Help should have been given and it wasn't.
