No offense but have respect for the instrument, the man (CP), and yourself...part of being a good player is having sound fundamentals. Despite Jazz being considered 'unconventional' when compared to classical, there still is a bar of excellence you should aim for.

It's ok to botch up the solo sections, but not the intro phrase, man. That's gotta be solid, if it's not you've ruined your entire statement. Especially on a popular lick like this.
