I saw the April 4, 1977 show, our seats were way in the back balcony of the old Chicago Stadium. I still have the ticket stub, it cost $ 10.00 back then, the acoustics sucked balls noise was bouncing everywhere. After the third song I it was so loud I think my ears were bleeding. But I would have did it all over again to see the greatest rock band that ever walked this planet!!
@bobsparadise Do you mean the 6th or 7th or 9th or 10th of April 1977 in Chicago? They were not in Chicago on the 4th. I was there on Thursday the 7th.
@branscom81203 He must have confused the day and the month. This is April 9, not September 4. Plus I don't think Zepp were still touring in September 1977.
I saw the 4th show. It was my second concert. I hardly knew any of their songs, but this show changed my life. I grew my hair, bought a Les Paul, and started playing everything they recorded. I got to where I could play the entire Song Remains the Same album. Even now when I play at church I feel Page coming out in my playing.
I was 15 and I was there with a friend from our high school - Evanston Township High School. We tried to go to their floor in the hotel where they were staying but the security would not let us past the lobby - now I am realize we were kept outside by a guardian angel.
great sound?
