  • only china cars can top this

  • " As you can see, the forces on the driver are devastating, there's a likely hood of neck injury, as well as injury to both of the drivers legs"

I would say Death would be very likely!

  • Its a good thing Obama saved GM. Wait. No, screw GM and screw Obama! Santorum for 2012!

  • gmminivans9968 is full of baloney. he said it was really (un)safe. LOOK AT THIS VIDEO YOU DORK!!!

  • the door is like made out of paper....:O

  • There were reasons GM should have failed...... Making cars like this that is absolutely unacceptable with any standard. And of course, people were uneducated enough to buy this? Screw you GM for making a car like this. However GM is a better company now but they were forced to be.... What the hell kind of company is that. Don't you think common sense would be to build a safer car to protect your friends and family and not be told by the government you had to make a better car. Jack Knobs!

  • Likely to injury? Looks more like likely for death!

  • @MADDOG6400 There's a Dateline vid floating around, and the IIHS' president says, "You don't need injury readings from a dummy to tell you that a fatality is likely in a crash like that."

  • what i want to know is would it be better for gm if they kept their partnership with toyota like they did way back then?do you guys think it would be good or bad if those 2 companies if they stayed together?

  • @JackAttack1000 Probably not much difference. Many automotive companies form partnerships. "Way back then," as you put it , was as late as 2009. If you are implying that GM disintegrating its partnership with Toyota at NUMMI somehow hurt the company more than decades of mismanagement, you would be wrong.

  • Fail!!

  • Pontiac Transport TO HELL! LMAO

  • more like trans-dead.

  • Abselute Crap........... If anyone wants to sell you this car, RUN!

  • Pontiac Transport... Into a funeral home.

  • POS

  • Crappy American shit

  • psh pontiac transport... more like a pontiac transhit

  • HA! Americans...

  • Dang! and I thought the 97-03 F150 and 95-04 Blazer looked bad.

  • @FusionBoy2010 Oh yeah dude I saw that video! I didnt mean all American vans in a nutshell. The windstar kicked some ass. The Caravan had some problems but it held together better then the Japanese competition. The Previa was fucking crazy lol. The steering column went sky high. I think chrysler's downfall was the Neon.. That was rough haha.

  • would have helped to see the side impact test before i got in a fucking wreck in this

  • This car was named Opel Sintra for european market ( 1997-2001 ) but it had many problems of quality.

  • That is a great car good review I love that car braian o neil you are ausome espeshely you lea thompson the most smartest institute people in the world

  • This version of Pontiac is shit. But the new ones are way better.

  • injury to neck and legs and a possibility of DEATH!

  • Earns a poor? More like fail

  • It looks like the steering wheel and front seat would snap your neck into

  • Comment removed

  • i cant beilive my dad bought one last week he must be trying to kill us

  • My football coach use to have one of these I would be scared to death every time he dropped me off at home after practice but it was roomy on the inside

  • windstar > montana.... ford > gm

  • @mickeyjmgr01 the windstar really they were the biggest pos ever made and im pretty sure gm is better. oh how do u like you raptor frames bending.

  • @killerspeed101 youtube.com/watch?v=hWF4kxyICIM

  • @mickeyjmgr01 /watch?v=pB1wn598tdw&feature=fvwrel

  • so ur mom die ?

  • Dodge Caravan probably the last model to ever be made now... Not popular anymore, out of trend and too thirsty!

  • My mom and my grandma each had one of these. They were good, reliable cars, but I am glad they never got in accidents.

  • what a pice of shit

  • Horn= Death!!!

  • Fuck them fishbowls.

  • i never buy a car without looking up all the tests first, because i saw this a few years ago

  • Now why did they keep this model til 2005 after that much damage, FUCKING IDOTS.

  • Car companies shouldn't be able to sell cars with poor or moderate safety ratings. Just think, the kids in the back seat would be left without parents.

  • This is why I'd much rather keep my Dodge Grand Caravan. The Dodge Caravans made in 1996-2005 did significantly better in the same crash test. While they didn't perform the crash test exceptionally well, the Caravans did great compared to other vehicles.

  • @madhatter0110 If you watch the Dateline NBC segment of these vans, the Dodge was right behind the Windstar in the crash tests. It got marginal due to possible broken legs, but the structure held up well.

  • damn!!! i have one!

  • i should buy this car as a present for justina bieber

  • It's not bad that the crash test was terrible. What's bad is they NEVER FIXED IT for 8 years.

  • WOW what a piece of shit.

  • DEATH TRAP VAN!!!!!!

  • likelihood of death too.

  • So the crumple zone is from the engine to the driver and passenger seat?

  • these vans are total garbage just like 90% of GMs made

honda and toyota are the only good vans

  • That's why I don't buy GM. I only hate on them.

  • Isn't your life a small price to pay so polar bears and other victims of the phony global warming scam can live? I worked for GM. CAFE standards. (wiki Corporate_Average_Fuel_Economy) imposed by liberal politicians are the only reason these crappy little tin cans on wheels exist. They don't sell and are not profitable. How many children die needlessly in crappy little cars like these? Does Obama drive one or put his kids in one? Compare to a full size truck. Metal=Life!

  • the 1995-2004 Oldsmobile Silhouette was assembled in

    Doraville, Georgia, United States

  • the 1997-2005 Chevrolet Venture was assembled in

    Doraville, Georgia, United States

  • They make them alot better now....

  • @adrbro13 GM does not make mini vans anymore

  • what compels people to buy gm mini vans??? you can tell they are crap just by looking at them.

  • Why can't they just say: The driver of this car would have a 99.99999 % chance of dying, instead of "Devastating injuires" :P

  • EPIC FAIL

  • OMG!! i rode in one of those! next time ima bring a helmet

  • A side panel just flew off. Build quality appears to be low.

  • And they actually let this crap on US roads.....

  • @belizetj yup.... they are in Europe too.. Opel Sintra.. but luckily, it wasnt a sucsess over here

  • so really your dead

  • @90Mrknowitall tipical pontiac. the door comes off, if this crash were on a pole you'd fall out of the car with the cheapo seatbelts and all that crap

  • what a POS

  • Wow, thats a Fail if i ever saw one

  • GM should be ashamed...

  • I remember this one like it was yesterday, and was always appalled that GM continued to manufacture and sell these vans for as long as they did. The horrible IIHS crash test is only part of the story, as they did poorly in the Government test too, and were notoriously troublesome vehicles. I met one Montana owner that was a traveling sales rep, and used it to carry his stuff (not much and not heavy) up and down the highways. With 165,000 miles on it, he was on his 7th transmission. No joke.

  • And this children, is why your mommies dont buy american vans. :]

  • @jordodegrees They should be buying Chryslers. Not any POS Honda or Toyota van

  • @carlover2013 Uh dont diss the Japanese auto makers man. Keep in mind that the Chrysler vans (the ones that are still on the road and not in a junkyard) had engines by Mitsubishi. With that said, I do like the way chrysler is going now and wouldnt mind buying the new Grand Cherokee or even Fiat 500 since they had the joint venture. They are working on their reliability and im sure with a little more work with the fiat corporation they can give the japanese a run for the money.

  • @jordodegrees wasnt aware of that. I don't haave anything against the Honda or Toyota personally, its just that I would never buy one.

  • @jordodegrees well the 2010 Dodge Caravan has a 5 star safety rating

  • It's amazing how they still allowed this car into production.

  • I love how all of the body cladding flies off of the doors! Hahaha

  • F-A-Y-U-L

  • EPIC FAIL! Not a safe car.

  • Holy s#*t!! we had a 2001 venture for 3 years , quite reliable. just sold it 2 mths ago bought a 2009 rav4.After seeing this, sooooo thankful we got rid of chevy.Toyota is awesome and waaaaaay safer.

  • one of the deadly family vehicle :(

  • This was not GM's finest...

  • I drive one of these....now I really don't want to.

  • *Googles* definition of "Epic Fail." ...This video comes up..

LOL I'd stab myself in the neck before I drove/rode in one of these disasters.

  • please remind me not to ride in a Chevrolet Venture :D

    Worse if im driving it....

  • @Jsoto1115 They are number one in the world in terms of how many car's they produce. Do some research on what you're saying. GM is number 2 and yeah...refer to the above video.

  • @sideburns2009 GM doesn't even have a single brand above the industry average on the 2010 JD Power IQS list. GM vehicles are junk.

  • @idontcare80 I wasn't saying they're good. I was saying his statement of Toyota being number 1 was NOT rated in quality but in quantity.

  • SHIT usa cars.

    Yankee Drive home...

  • @PriusRider You drive a Prius i would hate to be in a crash inside that plastic ugly looking piece of shit.

  • @cubano1389 muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu cow boy

  • @PriusRider I am not american so i dont know what you are babling about.

  • @cubano1389 hai ho!

  • @cubano1389 A Prius is a LOT safer than this shit pile.

  • @idontcare80 Its Not A Minivan! Its A Hybrid!:)

  • @Jsoto1115 dude your not telling me nothing i dont know Toyota makes cars that last and they make em safe

  • @dhprince I have a ford Windstar. Yeah!!!! :D! i am safe now! :)

  • Piece of shit.

  • You're better off flying on a paper airplane.. LMAO!

  • @Demineralize LOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • Hmm, my Montana for an Odyssey might be a wise choice for my family and I.

  • that why GM in the problem they are in

  • More like a "likely hood of death".

  • this is why everybody needs there safety to these cars

  • I just started driving a week ago and this is what I'm driving in. Why.. did I watch this video.

  • american vans are rubbish !! buy european ones !! they're safer and their fuel consumption is lower.

  • This van is the biggest piece of shit!!!!! I went in one and there was so much road noise I couldnt here myself talking!!

  • @etoyotarockshsucks probably the aluminum floor that buckled during this test.

  • I like how all of the plastic cladding flies off.

  • @zznwea

NOOOOO!!!!!!!! these vans are not good at all!!!!! we have a 2001 chevy venture(same as this) It is very unreliable!!!! The transmission is about to fail. The manifild gasket leaks and tons of electrical problems!!!! and the van only has about 136,000 miles!!!! Sorry but GM could have done so much better!!!!! Never ever again!!!!!! Honda/Toyota/ford sounds good.

  • @pergousongandra wow, get rid of it

  • @KillanatorVids

we are going to get a 2007 Honda Odyssey.

  • @pergousongandra nice comment!

  • @pergousongandra hey bro Toyota all the way if you want good crash test Toyota always get a good ratings ford ive seen poor not sure bout honda but Toyota is the best and super reliable

  • @tundralover best and super reliable? is that why my uncle's tundra has the frame rotting from beneath it with only 96,000 miles on it and 7 years old? Toyota won't replace the frame until there are visible hole's in the frame...which is probably when the well documented separation of the gas tank and spare tire happen. o_O

  • @sideburns2009 yeah they have frame problems which they have admitted too and will fix eventually but hey go wreck it you will be perfectly fine or flip it like i did my tacoma 3.5 time you will walk away and the shit will still run

  • @tundralover Frame problems? He just had to pay 1 grand to get the rack replaced because it was rusted out, also. It's from the south. No road salt. I can scrape the frame with my fingernail and layers of metal come off but they won't fix it until there is a HOLE. His '78 Chevy Silverado has ZERO rust under it and it's 32 years old. They didn't do something right. That frame would collapse under the force of a collision. It does have a nice engine though. 4.7!

  • @sideburns2009 dude said yeah they have frame problems but even with that you will still be safe and it will run forever whats the mileage on the 4.7? my 3.4 V6 had 140000 rolled 3.5 times all the fluid ran out and it still ran for 12 mins at red line then finally blew

  • @tundralover 96,000 miles. The recall is a safety recall for the frame because the gas tank can fall off while driving due to the mounts rusting. At 60MPH on the interstate, that is NOT safe. Same with the spare tire. Toyota doesn't care, though.

  • @sideburns2009 that aint good.. have you just went to 1 dealer or what i dont know who you would go to for recalls but if i ts dealers go to a diffrent dealer if that dont work ask for like a district managers number if that dont work ask for his manager and just keep going up the line

  • @pergousongandra Me to, my venture is trash

  • @pergousongandra

As much as I love to buy America, and Believe NEW GM cars are just as good as any other, I can fully understand why someone with a past gm car would want to buy something else.

  • @pergousongandra Everyone has mess ups. Look at the 1997-2003 F-150 crash test. It's even worse. What scares me is the fact that these cars still were given decent ratings.

  • @TheMagicalBikeCrew

Well of coarse everyone has mess-ups but this car was produced 1997 till 2005! I think they could have fixed the problem instead of letting families being at danger. But this is not GM's first mess-up....just saying. Just look up some of there other crash tests. Yes the ford f-150 is horrible to but it is not what you drive your whole family around in.

  • @pergousongandra U are soooo right. I had a 2000 Chevy Venture and it sucked!!! So much problems with the fuses, the engine sounded terrible, and it was very uncomfortable to be in. I now have a 2008 Honda Pilot, which is much better. You should consider purchasing that car.

  • @pergousongandra lol you got 2 of em right

  • @wtl1964

    Got what what right..lol

Oh we bought a toyota 4runner 4 months ago. Great car!

Yeah the van died a month before we got the 4runner. That van was crap!

  • @pergousongandra you got 2 of them right honda/toyota/

  • @wtl1964

we have a Toyota now. No more crappy GM minivan!! thank god!

  • @pergousongandra Given that I own a ford (you can check out my channel if you don't believe me), a car is only as good as the care you give it. I work on my own cars, nobody has ever touched them other than me. I have a 2004 sebring which typically gets TERRIBLE ratings. I have 170k+ miles. Original motor, original transmission. NO TROUBLE. I also have a 1969 c-10. 400k+ miles on the ORIGINAL MOTOR and the ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION. Given I wasn't the first owner, my grandfather was.

  • @ShepperdW

All of that may be true but these cars are still crap!

  • Family of four?!?! Family no more!!!!

  • Did Chinese Cherry cars have a relationship with Pontiac for this model?

  • Jaws of life required.

  • I bet that wouldn't tickle...

  • perfect car for soccer moms!

  • Made in USA

  • This goes to show that minivans are not intended to be deliberately guided toward offset walls.

  • @madhatter0110 It simulates a hit from a car at the same size

  • Only someone who has a death wish for them and their family would buy that car!

  • Good lord, what piece of CRAP! These are recent models too.

  • dead

  • OMG!!!! I drive one of these cars

  • @5363herbie Holy crap, get rid of it :)

  • Good thing they no longer make Pontiac!

  • we had this car my dad just got into an accident today he got rear ended by a fard export or whatever and i knew the girl that hit him and she hit him at 45 and it completely destroyed the rear end i mean the seats that were cliped in were all sheared and they all push into my dad and the funny thing is, is that today i wasnt going go to football practice and could hav been in the car with him if i hadnt of forgotten my hat which i had to choice to go to the football practice fucking crazy

  • So.... DONT CRASH!

  • 0:03-0:04 the drivers dead cause we hear what remains of him honking the horn like on GTA 4! damn folds up like it was made out of tin cans!

  • perfect for commiting suicide

  • shit my aunt and uncle have a chevy venture.

    :( And he speeds. A LOT. :/

  • bum ...beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep......

  • daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam

  • Comment removed

  • omG..

  • Where did you get that vid?? Like What Website??

  • He's "yelling" cause this van is a tin can thats obviously a deathtrap in any severe accident. Just like Brian O'Neil got rid of his Previa when that van did a poor job.

  • OH SHI-

  • Why does this narrator YELL EVERY WORD like a news anchor in a hurricane!? Turn the volume down a couple notches, dude.

  • how did they even get the dummy out after??

  • Chinese made. ssssssssssshhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttt

  • @josemanuel599 not really, made in USA, or Canada.

  • WOW!

  • wow...shame on GM for putting that shit on the road.

  • Were is this thing made in China. OMG

  • shit... that looks scary

  • Dont want a family anymore? Then this is the van for you!

  • My Friends Uncle Died in this POS Van. I will Never Own Any Chevy Vehicle from the year 2005 and Back. New Chevy's are Ok but the older ones are DEATH Traps, Just like the older Shitty Fords and Some of the Dodges the Only Vehicles Worth Owning in the 90s are the Jeeps and the Toyota's. But I Prefer Jeep.
