hey have you ever thought of adding some magnets in this model to make it spin without you having to spin it? look at some of the magnet motors/ generators, you could have your own real free energy. try it out and let me know the results
Excelent machine! I'm building one myself, but am having issues keeping the discs completely aligned. Will the device not function if the discs come into contact with eachother for a short period of time?

Are the strips on the two large disks copper?
if so what material did u use as a brush to generate the static electricity?
Do you find that copper strips work better than aluminum?
