my friend found out that hes having a baby when he got to frt benning so he wanted to come home so he signed a paper to do chapter 11, but now he wants to stay in the army cause his girlfriend moved in with his mom so she could take care of her.... can he reverse the process and still go to basic he really wants to go to basic ........ but the girlfriend wanted him to come home

No you don't get a choice for basic but whatever mos you chose will determine where you go for AIT. No I believe they can go to Ft. Leonard wood too but I know they can't go to benning because as of right now women can't have a combat MOS.
I'm not saying that there are not women training areas at ft. Benning. But sense that si where all the infantry trains and women are not aloud to do that MOS I assume there are not many.

I was at that exact company back in Jan 98. The DI's were very professional when it came to training us up. But they roasted our ass constantly. There is more yelling during Red phase (1st 3 weeks) than the others. Many of the DI's have to be away from their families while they are training you, and although many come to be fond of the privates over 9 weeks, they can't show it. They won't let you thank them for anything, either. The best thanks is to allow yourself to become a better soldier.
They definitely yell. I was in this same company after they filmed this. DS Torres ( :22) definitely got in my face many times. We feared him because he came in at around week 2 because he was accused of abuse. He was just training.

Actually, it was an Army inventory error. I was at the base that recieved the nukes, Barksdale AFB, LA, when it happened. It was in the base paper that the Army screwed up their lists, but everyone thinks the AF did it.
dude the canadian army go to bed at 2300, and sometimes even later. and you get up at 0445 pt and train all day.
there are other countries that go to bed at 2100,and the section commander make the recruits do pt till 12 or til they sweat a puddle. so sleeping schedule is not what i call a reliable indicator of training
Haha, My TI was about 260 lbs of pure muscle. He had tatoos all over every inch of his body and on top of that he was as black as the night. Yes it was Hard core compared to what ive seen and heard about army basic.

Honestly AF basic resembled Full Metal Jacket, but that could have just been the way my squadron was run at the time. Im comin out of high school and I have no idea what to do. I wanna join the army to serve my country and do the awesome shit they do, but I could also go to medical school and take over my fathers business and make half a mil a year.
Money doesn't buy happiness and the experiences you'll get out of joining the Army. If you still would like to pursue a career in medicine you could even join the Army as a 68w Health Care Specialist(combat medic). There's a lot more medical jobs too actually. But seriously, I would much rather join the Army.

Actually, it was an Army inventory error. I was at the base that recieved the nukes, Barksdale AFB, LA, when it happened. It was in the base paper that the Army screwed up their lists, but everyone thinks the AF did it.

dude the canadian army go to bed at 2300, and sometimes even later. and you get up at 0445 pt and train all day.
there are other countries that go to bed at 2100,and the section commander make the recruits do pt till 12 or til they sweat a puddle. so sleeping schedule is not what i call a reliable indicator of training

Haha, My TI was about 260 lbs of pure muscle. He had tatoos all over every inch of his body and on top of that he was as black as the night. Yes it was Hard core compared to what ive seen and heard about army basic.
Unless you have been there then dont believe what you hear. But honestly AF basic was pretty intense. My TI was throwing punches past my face into my wall locker. I was wishing he would just have knocked me out.

No one gives air force basic training enough credit man. Our PT standard is higher than the armies. Honestly Air Force basic was pretty hard core, for my flight at least, I do know some flights have some sissy TIs who don't care about their job and make it a cake walk.

Honestly AF basic resembled Full Metal Jacket, but that could have just been the way my squadron was run at the time. I ate lunch at a squadron where a TI came up to me while I was eating and smiled as he fixed my collar that was accidentally popped from taking my satchel off. I was just like, seriously? You're not gunna knock my tray over or scream till I'm deaf?

Money doesn't buy happiness and the experiences you'll get out of joining the Army. If you still would like to pursue a career in medicine you could even join the Army as a 68w Health Care Specialist(combat medic). There's a lot more medical jobs too actually. But seriously, I would much rather join the Army.
