That's what he meant with the help of the bokoblins. They can break the cage for you, so you need no sword. Just get the cage between Link and a bokoblin, and they will attack the cage.
I want to figure out how to do this so I can do a wooden sword run

The only problem is that you lose it when you get the Master Sword or switch back to the Ordon sword.

step by step
1.- get the slingshot.
2.- Do the glitch to cross the door on the bridge to go to faron (search youtube for a vid on this)
3.- get epona and jump the fence.
4.- go to the forest temple.
5.- free the boy and the monkey with the help of the bokoblins and then kill them with the slingshot.
6.- continue the game as normal but WITHOUTH getting the sword, when you are human link again go and pick the sword.
I dont know how long will the sword stay

@GabrielTanori once you take off the sword ithen click on it again. the wooden sword will disappear and the ordon takes over.
