Kevin Costner is one of my least favorite actors. He sounds/seems like a very nice person off-screen, but he always, always, always sounds like he's reading off of cue cards. It's just a fact, he can't act. However, he's been in many movies that were great, independent of his inability to contribute to anything meaningful to it. That said, I agree with him on his first point 150%. A movie should be long enough to tell the story properly.

Field of Dreams is my favorite if I have to pick one - the real message is he didn't want to be like his father - but who did he really want to be with? Both father and son wanted to dream - dad alienated his son by pushing him to fulfill his baseball dreams, but in the end - they really just needed to be accepted for who they were - not some big hero or guy who could follow the spontaneous magic - just father and son playing a simple game of catch, accepting each other for who they were.

Just spent the weekend in the Blackhills of South Dakota, USA aka: Paha Sapa. Spent time at Costner's Tatanka exhibit, it was very fun and informative. Had a wonderful meal at Jakes's Restaurant on the top of Costner's Casino The Midnight Star.

Both father and son wanted to dream - dad alienated his son by pushing him to fulfill his baseball dreams, but in the end - they really just needed to be accepted for who they were - not some big hero or guy who could follow the spontaneous magic - just father and son playing a simple game of catch, accepting each other for who they were.

How does this idiot have any kind of a career left when his last hit was 20 years ago? He`s like the Bruce Springsteen of movies this guy...1 or 2 hits 90 years ago and he stretches it out into infinity. He`s proven time and time again he can`t read a script for sh*t otherwise he wouldn`t make bomb after bomb after bomb, but hey, let`s keep financing his cr*p. What was his last movie, about voting? Just spent the weekend in the Blackhills of South Dakota, USA aka: Paha Sapa. Spent time at Costner's Tatanka exhibit, it was very fun and informative. Had a wonderful meal at Jakes's Restaurant on the top of Costner's Casino The Midnight Star.
