e.g. Jos. Ex. 20.26. Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon. Also they eat or warn not about chocolate (dark chocolate may be eathen though) which is of blood which we shall not eat acc to a verse in josh. Gen. & do not eat cheesteburgers ex 23.19, 34.26 & jos. deu 34.26 - you shall not boil a kid in its mothes milk. its a satanic pagan ritual baby goats were sacrificed by being boiled in milk thus no meat & cheese product at the same meal
Protestants are sure about this. Some think its ok, and others don't. Same goes for abortion and homosexuality. Without a final authority, Protestants make up their own mind as to what is right and what is wrong.
@DonKhoi Dude I was just explaining the teachings of the Catholic Church, I am catholic and go to a catholic school I am simply stating our beliefs. In my opinion the sperm and egg cells are simply reproductive cells but a life begins the moment of conception
Supply And Demand. Simple economics. You've made human beings a commodity. Why adopt when you can just go to the embryo store? Hey, did you know that a new law was just passed in South Korea which allows for testing of the 'extra' embryos created by IVF? Yes, they do tests on them you SICK AND DISGUSTING FOOLS!!!!

To Gouryella91...We must remember that no one has the right to have a child. A child is a GIFT that is given by God. God puts many hurdles in peoples path. It is our job to overcome these hurdles and continue to live as Christ intended. IVF does much more than hurt a child it destroys the trust in God.
Well put 68sgstandard. Ivf intrudes on the conjugal act of husband and wife. Many of my protestant friends see no problem with IVF. I must remind them that not only is conception a sacred act between husband and wife but that many humans are created when the eggs are fertilized. Remember life begins at conception, leaving many to be left out in the "cold". How many people do we have frozen in laboratories across the nation?
I support gay rights and I also believe that lesbian couples have just as much a right to have children as heterosexual couples. That being said I was recently arguing that IVF was not immoral but was at a loss when my friend argued the following:
"IVF hurts the child because some children will never get to know there true biological fathers or never get a chance to meet him. and this might create a big gap in the child's life"
I was hoping someone could help me counter this argument?
They dissociate the sexual act from the procreative act. The act which brings the child into existence is no longer an act by which two persons give themselves to one another, but one that entrusts the life and identity of the embryo into the power of doctors and biologists and establishes the domination of technology over the origin and destiny of the human person. Such a relationship of domination is in itself contrary to the dignity and equality that must be common to parents and children.
I understand what you are trying to say. Dont they do invetro though with the sperm of the husband and the egg of the wife. Wouldnt it be someone the same except that the act of lovemaking is out of the picture?
If I may say a few words, since I have studied Catholic moral theology: The conjugal act of a husband and wife is the human act by which the spouses give themselves to each other in the most intimate way possible. This act, according to St. Thomas Aquinas, finds its perfection in being when it is given freely, unselfishly. If another individual is involved, (a physician, or lab technician) this is an intrusion on the unity of the spouses, and this defiles the marriage.
And also, as is mentioned at the beginning of the video, in-vitro methods of fertilization intrude on the boundary of human dignity. Every person has the God-given right to be conceived and born in the natural way, from their own parents. To remove this sacred act of conception and put it into a laboratory is less than human. It would seem to be a good since children can be conceived in this way. However, for the above reasons, it violates the perfection of the conjugal act and human dignity.
And what is more, in-vitro fertilization results in the conception of several human individuals, who all have human souls and dignity. But for every child born as a result of in-vitro fertilization, many of its siblings were conceived and either destroyed or frozen in a kind of "animated suspension" - which, in itself, is a grave evil.
In vitro fertilization, attempts at human cloning, all these so-called "modern" scientific techniques have opened a "pandora's box" of moral errors.
They also freeze babies (embryos) and even the prolife movement is basically mute on this point. Don't worry Jesus is coming back soon and all of this nonsense will be stopped.
@butterflie2484 No. It is not the same. You see, naturally, the sperm is tested. Not until that sperm has passed the test, and made the swim is it given the chance to procreate. So, you are bypassing a very important mechanism that helps to ensure the survival of our species. Why does your comment have 3 thumbs up when it is an example of ignorance? (Just wondering aloud.)
well put, these people have ZERO morality and then try and say the bible is a crock. They have an agenda and it is to ban God from this country in every way possible. They are the biggest hypocrites on Earth. If you dont agree with them they hate you and denounce your beliefs.
The bible CLEARLY predicts the deterioration of society, the evil and the loss of love and respect people have for themselves and for God in the last days. If one cant see the writing on the wall, then they are blind
Part 2-Such a relationship of domination is in itself contrary to the dignity and equality that must be common to parents and children. Under the moral aspect procreation is deprived of its proper perfection when it is not willed as the fruit of the conjugal act, that is to say, of the specific act of the spouses' union.

What they've said, plus that it can easily turn into an industry in which people will start demanding the "perfect" baby and such...
It has already happened.
