Have any of you guys seen Prince playing live? I haven't. It would be so life changing I think to see him on stage in full flight. He gives me goosebumps just when I see him playing on TV or videos. He's my favourite too..I do love to try and play his music. It's a real challenge for any musician. One could never do it the way Prince does, but you do learn so much when you try and take his songs apart and learn them. His chords are right out of here. Really hard to pin down sometimes. Other times his songs sizzle because they are so minimal ie Sign of the Times and When Doves Cry.. awesome stuff.. thanks for saying hi!

I adapted the song a fair bit to suit my playing ability levels I guess. I didn't want to attempt trying to do the screaming that Prince does in his version. Just wouldn't have pulled it off I think. That is Prince's special talent. Prince wrote this song so I would say his version is the original as far as I know, though he does supply songs for other artists sometimes, I'm pretty sure he released this first though on one of his early albums. If I do a rendition this song with just the guitar playing and no singing I'll be sure to let you know. If you can play the guitar its only 3 or 4 chords though. yes it's only three chords mainly. a couple of places where the pattern changes and the end gets a tad jazzy in the chords, but it is easy. Heck! I learned it!(:)) Just look up the chords on the net. Thats where I got them from. It's a fun song to learn. Good luck and post your results as a response to my vid if you like.
