i think you'll find that you mean no BOV rather than no wastegate to cause the compressor surge(flutter, pigeon mod), with no BOV or recirc system then theres nowhere for pressure in piping/intercooler between compressor outet and throttle body to go other than backwards out the turbo. No wastegate would be pushing all the exhaust gas through the turbine wheel and then you would have no control over the boost

Car setup was SR, Tomei procams. solid lifters, a ONE OFF CNC ported head, V-band 3076 .64. Synapse v band manifold. 44mm gate, Freddy intake mani with q45 throttle body, 87mm 8.5/1 Tomie pistons, tomie rods, race cut crank. and a straight back exhaust with no restrictions.
