I ALWAYS finished films, but not this one... I thought the first one was fantastic, but all this was dialogue and repeated action that was ALL in the trailer! Eclipse was far better, this was a huge fail of a film, no wonder so many people do not like it, because they saw this first at the cinema thinking it was good after the hype of the first one.

Give an imaginative person a pen and they will throw out something special. But the crap that's put into theaters these days is far too lame to compare to old classics such as Star Wars or Lord Of The Rings, someone needs to come up with some new conepts and then build something around it, that's my opinion.

@malows1234 memento put me jaw-dropped, it's a great exemple of how a plot can drive the whole movie without being boring. memento is extremely exciting and unpredictable from beginning to the end. i also enjoyed inception but not as much as i wanted to, i still dont believe in leonardo's work man i think is an overrated actor as hell. one of the reasons i disliked shutter island was him, the facial expression is so important in a movie and he cant control it well. he also talks like a monologue

Roger Ebert given this movie a 1 star out of 4. He already stated that it "takes the tepid achievement of Twilight, guts it, and leaves it for undead." I think that alone pretty much sums up what kind of a movie Twilight New Moon really is. ;)
For me, it's a plodding, achingly slow 130-minute film. This movie was never for everyone to begin with. Those who are fans of Twilight series will only be able to comprehend this film's story.

Not true. She has been in some productions where she actually shone (i.e. The Messangers) the character she plays in the twilight movies however is just a horribly wrote character and it's hard to act well when there's nothing there.

I think New Moon sucked! Twilight was pretty cool, it was fresh and had a decent plot. New Moon however is confusing and boring at the same time. It feels like the only thing the writers of the screenplay were doing all day long is to think of a way to get the movie filled out with shots. Really disappointing! :(
I may not agree with Michael Phillips on everything, but I definitely respect him as a critic. He nailed this one right on the head. I saw the movie last weekend and while parts of it were disappointing, I liked it overall. The only thing I can think of that he may have been off on is saying that it was better than "Twilight." I think they're both about equal. "Twilight" has the plot advantage while "New Moon" has visuals.
i totally agree with this guy! it was much better than twilight. i still love twilight but this movie just goes to show that summit are taking as much from the books as possible. new moon kept much closer to the book than twilight did. i hope they do the same for eclipse and breaking dawn. breaking dawn has the potential to become an epic, much bigger than lord of the rings!

Kirsten Steward is one of the worst actresses ever. Her expressions are always the same and there's not a single emotion in her face when she's sad or anything. New Moon was okay. The angles were really confusing though. My sister and I were like really dizzy at the end. The actors were amazing. I thought they played it very well. But, the only part that was really stupid was Alice's vision that Aro saw. I understood it because I've read Breaking Dawn, but it looked soo stupid.
Maybe I need to see it again because I was way too excited before, but it was over all pretty good I thought.

37 yr old "fan girl" who loved the movie. It was such a marked improvement from the first movie. Was really impressed by it all, the screenplay, direction, acting, soundtrack (I prefer the orchestral score over the other soundtrack). Its nice to see a "fair" review froma member of the male population. As an adult fan of the series I found it visually beautiful and emotionally powerful. I'm not understanding all the "worst movie" ever reviews out there. If you hate everything about the series, you will hate the movies. If you are a fan of the series, New Moon will surpass your expectations. Beautiful.
The only thing it lacked though, were the tender moments. Maybe it's because the male director didn't see that, BUT IM NOT JUDGING! I wanted those tender moments with Jacob and Bella hand holding, and hanging out (at least a montage of that!) and I would've loved sweet apologies between Edward and Bella at the end, it seemed like we had missed something. But the acting imporved, and this surpassed my expectations, I totally loved it.

I actually liked New moon and they stuck way close to the book, but they rushed thru scenes especially towards the end that made it seem like you couldn't really grasp what was going on unless you read the book. And ESPECIALLY at the end they changed a few things that I think are key in the beginning of eclipse. But overall I really do like the movie.
I'm not a huge Twilight fan, but honestly, these films are good and do plot a good story. Yes, it's been done before, but so has comedies about becoming pregnant and 'Knocked Up' was still a big hit.
The only thing that will forever torment me about Twilight, is the sparkling vampire scene. It goes completely against anything remotely vampire-like. No matter the imagination involved, you just do NOT allow a creature of the night to sparkle.
What if vampires are aliens from space instead of the grave? watch Lifeforce and it tells us that vampires are from space instead of being the undead. You won't be disappointed! it shows a different unconventional unstereotypical kind of vampire that sucks energy instead of blood.

I've only watched the first movie of Twilight and i've rated it 3 out of 10 stars.
The story line just did not flow and was messy.

@malows1234 but i think nolan is a clever guy and i understand his ideas, he's in the beggining of his career and i believe he will be one of the strongest directors in hollywood. he just needs to keep is ideas believable and keep the good working with batman series. || i only saw magnolia, i think i never heard about the other but now you talked i will definitely check it out. PTA is a genious, I wish all directors were like him. and darren arronofsky is an extremely underrated director :S

Roger Ebert given this movie a 1 star out of 4. He already stated that it "takes the tepid achievement of Twilight, guts it, and leaves it for undead." I think that alone pretty much sums up what kind of a movie Twilight New Moon really is. ;)
For me, it's a plodding, achingly slow 130-minute film. This movie was never for everyone to begin with. Those who are fans of Twilight series will only be able to comprehend this film's story.
For the rest; they'll probably fell asleep. lol

Not true. She has been in some productions where she actually shone (i.e. The Messangers) the character she plays in the twilight movies however is just a horribly wrote character and it's hard to act well when there's nothing there.

I think New Moon sucked! Twilight was pretty cool, it was fresh and had a decent plot. New Moon however is confusing and boring at the same time. It feels like the only thing the writers of the screenplay were doing all day long is to think of a way to get the movie filled out with shots. Really disappointing! :(

I may not agree with Michael Phillips on everything, but I definitely respect him as a critic. He nailed this one right on the head. I saw the movie last weekend and while parts of it were disappointing, I liked it overall. The only thing I can think of that he may have been off on is saying that it was better than "Twilight." I think they're both about equal. "Twilight" has the plot advantage while "New Moon" has visuals.

i totally agree with this guy! it was much better than twilight. i still love twilight but this movie just goes to show that summit are taking as much from the books as possible. new moon kept much closer to the book than twilight did. i hope they do the same for eclipse and breaking dawn. breaking dawn has the potential to become an epic, much bigger than lord of the rings!

it watched that movie yesterday cause my girlfriend asked me...And I think that movie was one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life ( I also had to watch the first one). Kirsten Steward is one of the worst actresses ever. Her expressions are always the same and there's not a single emotion in her face when she's sad or anything. I watched this review to find out whether anyone else thought it sucked...guess I was wrong. The only cool characters were those royal vampires (forgot names)

New Moon was okay. The angles were really confusing though. My sister and I were like really dizzy at the end. The actors were amazing. I thought they played it very well. But, the only part that was really stupid was Alice's vision that Aro saw. I understood it because I've read Breaking Dawn, but it looked soo stupid.
Maybe I need to see it again because I was way too excited before, but it was over all pretty good I thought.

I''m fed up with the insults to girls. OK, the movie probably is bad (haven't seen it, the first one was bad indeed), but you know what? Sometimes people like bad things because they appeal to them. The plots of some action movies, action comic books or shounen manga are usually JUST as stupid, as predictable, as badly acted and badly done as girls movies. I went with my gf and it was pure agony being there but I did it for her. I was one of maybe 2 dozen guys who were just as miserable, but we do it for the girls which is whats important. I would not have gone but it was for her and I bit my lip but when I did complain it was in a joking matter because it was for her. She said I had every right to complain and I did not like the movie. for her it was perfect but I didnt think it was well made

37 yr old "fan girl" who loved the movie. It was such a marked improvement from the first movie. Was really impressed by it all, the screenplay, direction, acting, soundtrack (I prefer the orchestral score over the other soundtrack). I'm glad the reviewer is man enough to unabashedly appreciate a chick flick.

Its nice to see a "fair" review froma member of the male population. As an adult fan of the series I found it visually beautiful and emotionally powerful. I'm not understanding all the "worst movie" ever reviews out there. If you hate everything about the series, you will hate the movies. If you are a fan of the series, New Moon will surpass your expectations. Beautiful.

The only thing it lacked though, were the tender moments. Maybe it's because the male director didn't see that, BUT IM NOT JUDGING! I wanted those tender moments with Jacob and Bella hand holding, and hanging out (at least a montage of that!) and I would've loved sweet apologies between Edward and Bella at the end, it seemed like we had missed something. But the acting imporved, and this surpassed my expectations, I totally loved it.

I actually liked New moon and they stuck way close to the book, but they rushed thru scenes especially towards the end that made it seem like you couldn't really grasp what was going on unless you read the book. And ESPECIALLY at the end they changed a few things that I think are key in the beginning of eclipse. But overall I really do like the movie.

I'm not a huge Twilight fan, but honestly, these films are good and do plot a good story. Yes, it's been done before, but so has comedies about becoming pregnant and 'Knocked Up' was still a big hit.
The only thing that will forever torment me about Twilight, is the sparkling vampire scene. It goes completely against anything remotely vampire-like. No matter the imagination involved, you just do NOT allow a creature of the night to sparkle.
