biaggi is a cock, he's a great rider sure not gonna argue that one, but he is such a massive cock, rossi has had some pretty poor moments over the years but i feel biaggi has been a consistent poor sportsman over the whole time i have watched him.
These were the golden times of MotoGP. Rossi's battles with Biaggi and Gibernau were really unforgettable and there were other extremely talented riders like Barros and Capirossi. I think Biaggi could have won the title that season - you can see he stayed with Rossi until the German GP. After that he was starting from pole and leading races, but he simply blew it with all these falls. Pity, both he and Sete deserved at least one title.
@Henman5 Completely agree. Barros could have won 2002 if he was on a 4 stroke for the whole year. There is a video on here monitoring the heart rate of Biaggi and Rossi, Biaggi's heart rate is alot higher, like riding on adrenaline and Rossi's was very low. Just shows the difference between riding styles and why Biaggi started crashing perhaps... However nowadays the electronics is playing a big role which takes alot of fun out the sport, etc. But safety comes first I guess.
@12arsenal4eva I remember being on a holiday during one of the battles between Barros and Rossi in the end of 2002 (Motegi probably?), there was Eurosport in the hotel and I decided to stay and watch the whole race, it was that good! Barros won it in the end, pity he didn't have a 4 stroke bike for the whole year... As for Biaggi, I remember his performances in the 250 cc, he is hugely talented, but I guess it's all about coping with the pressure in sports...
