I wish they'd do something with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers like do a film and just make it really dark... If Batman can go from Adam West & Burt Ward to Dark Knight then I'm sure someone in Hollywood with a creative brain could do something awesome with Power Rangers!

@UltimateSenshi Making things dark and edgy doesn't make them good. The charm of power rangers came from it's campy nature and kid demographic. Keep it that way for more kids to enjoy.

@AlexTheSoutherner I disagree look at Kamen Rider Dragon Knight. That's a great example of a darker tone power rangers. Campy nature doesn't cut it anymore. Kids are smarter and go threw even darker times these days. If you make a power rangers show that reflects the current generation you get a better show. Like 90s power rangers. Whether you were in Japan or US power rangers reflected what you wanted to do and what you could grow up to be beyond a PR.

@XxHyoga87xX Campy nature cuts it fine, same age kids love the same stuff we did. All my nephews are into Power Rangers Samurai and it lives off the nostalgia of the original show. The average 5-9 year old doesn't live a dark live man.

@AlexTheSoutherner wrong. Your nephews may not but a lot of other kids do. As for "average" I watched shows like Spawn and slept like a baby between 5-9. Today depending on your area I guess what you say is true. Regardless everytime a new PR show comes out the ratings do drop. In fact before Samurai came out there was talk that they would be no more PR shows. When Kamen Rider came out no one understood why it didn't have another season. With PR it's more like a habit bound to break soon.

@XxHyoga87xX I highly doubt PR's going anywhere now that Saban bought the series back and put all this work into Samurai to give it all this nostalgia and feel like oldschool power rangers. Soundtrack, story, characters, badguys, dialouge, it's just boiling over with old power rangers goodness. Saban's incredibly rich, I imagine it'll be awhile before he gives up on Power Rangers, especially with all the stuff he has in mind.

@AlexTheSoutherner The pnt I'm makin is that average kids your talkin about have become a rare breed. And shows made to suit those kids will soon disappear due to it not gettin enough ratins. We'll see if their are anymore PRs after samurai. Transformers and Thunder Cats have gotten with the times and kids love them in every decade. Unless PR can learn to do that too they wont be around.

@XxHyoga87xX Spongebob is still on TV man. It hasn't had to a change a thing. Better yet, look at the Boomerang network. All it airs are classic cartoons and most of them aren't dark. In fact, both Boomerang and Cartoon Network have aired Tom and Jerry for years now, no problem.

The 1st pink ranger actor is still out there kickin azz on a cop show. Yeah campy is good realistic is better. If I had to pick a show that did this perfect beyond PR I say Static Shock.
