  • don't know why this show has to get a bimbo in to merely read out the phone number and contact details etc, Just seems a waste of money to pay a bimbo a salary just to read that out when he could just do it himself, but hey channel 5's money to waste not like its the BBC and it would be taxpayers money

  • i wonder if he based mikey forrester on himself?

  • just been travelling for 8 month, my old man stuck Glue in my bag. I never read any irvine welsh before. By time i came back id read porno, masterchefs, glue, crime, ecstacy. i love this guy. Begbie and juice terry have me in stitches.

  • @dalyash yeah man juice terry's hilarious :)

  • Interesting point about British and Italian culture...I can see that as well..

  • skank, who the fuck says that?

  • filth is a masterpiece. schools should adopt it for teaching . ' i'm looking forward to reading the new book

  • 'FILTH' is an absolutely excellent book. So many laugh out loud moments.

  • so sayeth Bruce Robertson

  • kaye adams makes a great point about the edinburgh accent

  • he is one of the best writer's of all time deep and meaningful books and not afraid too confront any social issues no matter how disturbing the books are a page turning sick sence of humor

  • I struggle with reading most of the time but this man's material makes me laugh out loud. Wish there was more like him (or would appreciate any tips).

  • try Human Punk by John King

  • he write how he specks!!!you have to be very concentrate ti read his books, above all if you are not scottish, heh

  • i think you really have to enjoy trainspotting, porno, and glue together. i read them in that order but looking back i might have chosen to do it trainspotting, glue, porno. when you start seeing the characters from the different books interacting in unlikely ways its really entertaining stuff. the whole edinburgh world he created is finely detailed, and there's nothing else that compares.

  • Reheated Cabbage is fuckin top notch book...Glue and Filth also excellent

  • Irvine is a deep gentlemen, best Scottish author in last 20 years. Read Glue and Filth.

  • @muckletoon all his books r great although bedroom secrets of the master chefs was a bit slow.

  • i liked masterchef much more than crime
