The best asam laksa I've had was a stand by the bottom of the Chinese temple. It is closer to the parking lot. Been there twice and each time, I had 2 bowls. Yes that's how good it was. Yes, if you want the best asam laksa, Penang is the place.
why go to batu ferringhi? you only go batu ferringhi for cd/dvd la..those who introduced you must not be a penangite.. & 1 more thing... some lesson of eating laksa - it's not complete if you didn't eat with shrimp sauce.. got to pour & stir with the soup man..
I see why. Man, you said it all. . Try the Hup Loong packet of Asam laksa .. it tastes really authentic . It's a Penang company. I like their curry kapitan also.
Pretty impressive critique to describe the sublime culinary experience that is Assam laksa. Hup Loong packets are incredibly authentic and try the Kapitan curry. I used to eat in Gurney Drive back in the early eighties. I'm hungry,

Really? I heard that the laksa in Gurney Drive served at stall #11 is the best in the country, but we didn't have time to get there.
