This is what I miss in hip hop. Those mellow jazz vibes and flowin about real stuff that speaks to how we feel. Every track doesn't have to be head bangin and every rhyme doesn't have to be fast paced. I wanna hear realness, not a lyrical race. Rhyme quick when IT MAKES SENSE.
I love this band. No shit man, I'm not a rap fan, but you can't deny the way LOTUG's beats and lyrics just get you. It transcends genre. That says a lot.
wicked tune. shame they're totally deluded. there just isn't an all loving, all knowing God looking over us. it's better to strive for understanding of the universe than to place all your faith in a fairy tale being, however comforting it may be.
prove he doesnt, even if i could prove it to you it couldnt be n words you would have to go threw something and discoverr him for yourself, but since i cant prove to you he does and you he cant prove he doesnt better to give the benefit of the dought after all if im right think of the consequences lol :)
Do you have proof that anything actually happened in history; 1700s? 1800s? 1900s even? All you have is written documents, and what, b/c they're taught in school you believe them, right? Well, The Bible is written documentation of what happened in those times.
So what is it that makes you so sure there is no God when you have no proof whatsoever to say that? One question, how did you and I come to exist? Seriously, there is NO logical answer except for us being created by God. Period.
dont even try to compare historical documents to the bible. the bible deals with spirituality and miracles e.g. the creation (which is obviously bullshit - 7days? no!); walkin on water; rising from the dead; the nature of sin; stone homosexuals to death etc. this isn't like documenting a war or a king's life. i don't need proof, i use reason! it is totally unreasonable to suppose the existence of a loving god just because life is an unlikely and wonderful thing.
So let me get this straight; your reasoning is that we should not compare history to the Bible b/c the Bible contains spirituality, miracles, and homosexuals getting stoned to death?
Does that mean we should disregard historic writings b/c they too include ppl getting stoned, hanged, and tortured? Thanks to you, I guess reasoning no longer requires logic to back it up. Congrats bud, you're a pioneer!
Oh, and your little sperm met egg story was cute, and slightly funny... but not really.
so how do you explain it? some evils can be blamed on mankind (hate, murder etc), but others are the work of god (if u believe He exists). He has a plan right? so natural disasters must be teaching us something, right? and disabilities? how do you explain a loving God allowing pain on his people who he loves so fucking much? reply!
btw historic documents DOCUMENT things, they do not command you to stone homosexuals to death or tell you that you will rot in eternal torture unless you accept the true one messiah as the son of God, saviour of mankind etc. that was my point. now fucking reply!
Although God has ultimate control over any- and everything, He gives us free will.
You do realize that humans, with our "intelligence" come up with inventions and ideas, ie. pesticides (this is just one example).
Pesticides, as we all know, cause birth defects, but many times we forget that we are fully responsible for our actions and we choose to blame God for those terrible outcomes; even those fools who don't believe in Him. Kind of contradictory, huh?
People insist on blaming God for not stopping evil from happening, instead of hating the devil for pushing people to act out in evil ways.
If we were all created through scientific principles (ie.the same process) then we would all be emotionally the same, acting at least relatively similar to one another with little variation. But more and more ppl are becoming "evil", as the Bible shows; killing their parents, children, innocent ppl. It shows we go much deeper (ie. spiritually) than science.
Right, so the devil is responsible for earthquakes. Now I definitely believe in God. Genetic mutation is responsible for birth defects, and sometimes that naturally occurs (and sometimes its agent orange etc). Did the devil make that naturally occur as well? Is everything bad blamed on the devil and everything good caused by God? Is that what you believe? It seems too simple to me.
No that's definitely not what I believe. Here is the last thing I'm going to say b/c I can tell you like to misconstrue anything I say:
If a good person dies unexpectedly, human capacity cannot comprehend why. To make any sense of a situation like that you have to believe in Heaven and Hell.
So, why would someone good die? The world we live in is an awful place of murder and evil. They are better off out of this misery and into heaven.
it was good to debate. you didn't convert me tho. maybe one day i'll accept it - i'm not totally in against the idea of a higher power, just really not convinced by lots of the bible... good luck to ya with the rest of ur spiritual quest.
hey bud, it was a good debate lol. i'm not necessarily trying to convert you (although it might seem that way); just giving you my opinion on certain things. so i expect you to take it as nothing more than one man's opinion.
good luck to you as well man, keep rocking the lords of the underground ;p
get the fuck out of here with your god bullshit. go ahead and believe whatever you want, but if you come preaching your shit, shoving it down people's throats, i'm going to have to break it to you that god is not real. you are obviously a delusional bastard. people don't blame god for anything, because they know he is a fictional character. you are a poor sad piece of shit, to be so weak that you need to believe ridiculous fairy tales to help you"understand" who and what you are in this world.
man, you bible thumping fucks really make me mad. i came here to comment on some ripe old hip hop, and am greeted with a debate about the legitimacy of stoning homosexuals? can't you fuck off? do you know how many closet homosexuals are religious? from many religions. do you really honestly believe that the earth is only 4000 years old? and that there is a big, invisible dude in the sky spying on yours and everyone else in the world's single move? you're like fucking infants.
hey man, it's all good, you're entitled to your opinion as i am to mine. sorry if i came across as someone hate-filled, trying to shove his ideology down your throat; it certainly was not my intention. i try to love absolutely everyone (that includes gays, murderers, etc.), love is the only thing that will make this crazy world go around.
i can understand why you hate those so-called "bible thumpers". i for one don't agree with the concept of religion b/c it separates rather than unites.
"I place all my faith in God, God'll never leave me, he won't decieve me, believe me!" word.. This is for real the most important thing in my life.. There's just no other way o/ Keep on keepin it on!

Although I'm not a straight up Hip Hop musician, I am completely mesmerized by the beats, lyrics and all out style of this band. I wished they were more consistent with their albums. They also need to play out more!
Yeah bro, I was just thinking "this is Eastside Long beeeeeeach, beeeeeeeeeeeach". But for me Eastside LB is one of the best tunes ever, so this sounds kind of second rate in comparison; lacks the finese and that awesome G-Funk sound.
It ain't "a mix" of either, it's just based on the same sample ('Free' by Deniece Williams). This was the first, in 1994 - Mic Geronimo and Twinz both came out in 1995.
