I just realized I've never met a deaf or mute person but I'm still very interested in these videos. I think it's a fun thing to say I know how to say cum dumpster in american sign language.
@hardworker424 Hey there! I just wanted to expand your cultural understanding of Deaf people in America-- the term "Deaf and mute" is not really PC anymore. Many Deaf people can talk for themselves, sometimes they choose not to. But really the best way to address someone who can't hear is Deaf (and I capitalize it for people who are culturally Deaf, if they aren't culturally Deaf, then the lower-case "d" deaf works best).
@hardworker424 No problem! If you have any more questions about Deaf culture/Deafness, let me know-- any questions welcome. I also have some cool websites you can check out, if you're really interested.
@dwarner1 You perceive IR light when it shines on your skin. Warmth. Apart from that, do you have a real concept of what gamma rays are? You know what they are and can define them, but do you have a real concept?
@GortosXtreme What a good question! Deaf people often know what thunder is because when it happens, and they're nearby, they can feel the vibrations of the noise. Often times Deaf people aren't 100% without sound, either :) Some Deaf people utilize hearing aids, while others have cochlear implants. Next time you're sitting around, maybe reading a book, try this exercise: get some earplugs, and put them in. See how much you can perceive without sound! It's fun!
You know what? After watching almost all your videos I'm seriously thinking about learning the sign language, I really enjoy it. I'm Italian, so I wouldn't obviously learn the ASL, but I think that the Italian one might be interesting too, no?
Well, thank you for your videos, I really appreciate your work, even if you say such silly things (if I'll ever learn the sign language, I'll proudly say that the first thing I learned was "I Donkey Punched Your Sister"), and, as usual, HOORAY!
I love signing this to people who DON'T speak sign.
