For the first five decades of the series all of the games were played in ann arbor, michigan did not visit East Lansing until 1948. michigan has a big lead because they won a bunch of games before television was invented when MSU was primarily an agriculture school. Since they started alternating sites and MSU became a University the series is much closer.

Since 1950, when MSU joined the Big Ten, the series is Michigan 34 wins, MSU 26 wins and 2 ties. Sure they're still ahead, but it's not nearly as lopsided as they'll have you believe. A few more years, MSU will catch up.

The Night game Legacy Unis looked awesome, but the Legacy road unis were iffy (not terrible, but not my style). I love the white pants though and I hope they wear them for road games in the future.

I don't want to hear any more about the "all time series" from Michigan fans because they always skew the numbers in their favor, always failing to mention that the first 40 or so games were ALL IN ANN ARBOR when MSU was Michigan Agricultural College. Since 1950, when MSU joined the Big Ten, the series is Michigan 34 wins, MSU 26 wins and 2 ties. Sure they're still ahead, but it's not nearly as lopsided as they'll have you believe. A few more years, MSU will catch up.

First off, that rule is BS, second, it wouldnt have mattered because state would have had the ball at the 5 yard line and still would have scored against Michigans 8th grade defense. As for Denard, I have seriously never seen a worse quarterback when it comes to passing, he reminds me of Charlie Batch. He will never make it as a QB in the NFL PERIOD!! Sorry Walmarts

4TH AND 1 in the redzone in a drive that could've tied the game. AL Borgess playcalling cost us that game.

It's hilarious that Michigan fans do not realize that the refs were basically Michigan's offense all game. The refs actually favored Michigan.

Because I'm a Michigan fan, and I knew that State was giving Michigan every opportunity in the world to win the game with the penalties. And I think it was more MSU's defense gave Michigan some yards via the penalties, helping our offense, not the refs. The refs just called the obvious calls.

@tchaf14 regardless from the obvious calls there was a very large amount of bullshit calls, including all of those bullshit punt spots inside the 5. i was in perfect position at the game to see every one of those and only one of them was a legitimate spot.
