Right the Urine thing is wierd but because of all the protein and other nutrients that he consumes can't be Processed the 1st time round they come out as urine. Which still has all the nutrients in it so if you drink it again you are getting all the nutrients that your body couldnt process the 1st time round :)

I'm currently training in kickboxing, I have some tae-kwon-do background but not that much, maybe up to green belt but that was a long time ago. I'm currently in kickboxing at the moment. I have traine in Shotokan Karate for 17 years since I was 4. I met Lyoto in 2001 Pan Am's he won, his Karate is truly good. I just want all of you to know that no Martial Art is Superior, we just have superior Martial Artists that have better skills overall in what their style enhances, along with certain styles benefit different body types as well. It's the combination of all these concepts that make champions in mma.

It was a kick to the body followed in one motion by an explosive and quick-as-lightning left karate punch to the chin that dropped Evans in the 1st round.  Hey, I missed it too, until they replayed it in slow-mo. It also prompted announcer Goldberg to say that it could be the first time Rashad ever faced a fighter that's faster than him.

It was the same short left punch that started the end for Rashad in the 2nd round. Lyoto used it to stun Evans, Sokoudjou, Franklin...then finish them off.

That punch-kick combination is a classic Karate technique, seen in many katas, notably Heian/Pinan Nidan. :)

Yes, but George thought the kick-punch combo that dropped Rashad in the 1st round was just a fast head kick. I don't know how George missed it, they replayed it in slow-mo (maybe he has ADHD).

Rashad said he understimated Lyoto's quickness and explosiveness after the loss. They all know the short-left punch is coming -- but they can't stop it.

Good point about the left straight. Same in Karate - there have been tournaments won by just gyaku-tzuki (reverse punch) alone. It's the idea of truly mastering a technique that empowers a Shotokan Karate fighter.

In addition to Shotokan and BJJ, remember Lyoto studied Japanese catch wrestling and Sumo which is where he gets the power to push people off of him to trip people up. He's been recently dabbling in Judo as well learning from gold medalist Ishi. I doubt he want to ever go to the ground since he loves his Karate but he knows you have to be well rounded....Hopefully, he will have a long run. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

I cannot understand how people are overlooking Quinton Jackson. I really don't get it. Rashad stands a better chance against Jackson than Machida does. That may not make sense, but if you've watched all of Machidas fights and all of Jacksons you would see what I mean. Lyotos first defense is against a very hungry, and capable opponent.

well i would agree with yuo SundiMundi, but after seeing Jackson's fight against Jardine, I just think Rampage is going to get dismantled and believe it or not machida can actually take down rampage easier than rampage can take him down.Shogun or dan henderson would have a better shot, maybe even Griffin but I still dont think any ofthese guys will be the ones to get Machida.
