Nice fish I read Demasoni are killers.

Do you find that to be the case and have you had any problems with them in the 29 gallon?

I actually don't think a 29 is to small for them at all but again read they are killers.

Are you sure those are demasoni? Their color is very light for a demasoni. Almost look like a ps. zebra.

well the all blue one is a kenyi female .....and the all lblack with blue stripes is a demasoni ...

Awesome! I have 2 parrot cichlids 2 angels 2 electric yellow labs 2 peacocks and 3 female convicts in my tank and they just finished their first live feeding! :]

If the kenyi is male you will see him get very agressive with the demasoni and the red zebra if the yellow lab is female. They will mate cuz their species is so similar. Just a heads up cuz it happened in my tank .check it out Nice tank

well they will get along for awhile but the demisoni like to be in groups. so a cool tank for ur 29 would be 1 male to three females all demisoni and then they will breed and you can have all sizes of demisoni running around in ur tank. the babies will survive and love that rock you have in ur tank as well. the yellow labs are alot more chill than the demisoni. But what ever works for ur tank just run it man. You have a nice tank!

nice i just moves my 9 babys and 1 6in plucko into a 75 they love it .... anyways take a screqwdriver and hammer and tap pout the bottoms of those pots...i did that and the fish like it alot better..... or can they fit through the hole??? i didnt think they could but fish have their ways

not a bad set up....29 gallons will grow cichlids to about 4 inches....is your PH level 8.2?

Hey i got exactlly the same setup but my heater is closer to my filter, the only thing wrong with urs is, that you got no bublles, lower the water so the`splashing overflowing water provides the fish with air, or like me just get a cheap airpump 20$

well i dont really want bubbles but this is a grow out tank so when i get my 120 gallon i will put a lot more money into it and i guess ill put bubbles ... thx for the comment

This may be late but if these are african cichlids then they use labyrinth to breath. Instead of taking O2 out of the water they take it out of the air.

Very nice. You will need a bigger tank in the future..how's three demasoni working for you? When they mature you might end up with one. Demasoni (pombo rock) will only thrive in group of 12 or more because of their aggression.

yeah im gonna wait a little bit longer and im planning to get a 120 gallon tank with lots of lava rocks ,,,the three demasoni are fine they chase each other every once in a while but nothing major ....the large demasoni chopped off my red zebras tale but i put him in a net breeder so he can get better and hes fine now ... once i get my 120 im gonna put some more demasoni inthere as well as some flavus .....
