Awe! I want a keeshond! Im trying to convince my parents but i think i got my dad on to it but we have to get mom on the dog train! Lol hope it goes well!
Yep... Mine is just as deranged... First I thought there must be something in the food... then I thought it may be his water... Turned out it was just him! They are a strange type of doggy, and I love the sound of the paws on the ground when they run like that... Huggies to your dog!
i miss when my keeshond was like that, she is almost 18 now and i think she has some form of canine dementia, but its all good, i got her when i was three and me and that dog grew up together
OH MY GOD! My 1 year old Kees does the exact same thing! I love the pause when they stare at you before taking off again. I don't think I can ever get another breed.
That is so funny, my dog behaves like this all the time and he is walked and ran for 1.5hrs a day, and he to is a keeshond, they are such lovable dogs good on you..
It's not a question of exercising the dog, Assurgent1, it's a play style. I had a Keeshond and a Chow, and the Keeshond would always thunder off to the far end of the house, and then thunder back again whenever the two of them played. Then they'd more or less crash in the middle of the house, wrestle a bit, and then do it all again.
Maybe you'd be better off not giving people your illiterate "expert" advice based on 40 seconds worth of observed behavior, eh?
my kees did this too! I called it "crazy dog" when he did it. Yes they are very smart and have a lot of energy. Please only buy one from a reputable breeder - make sure they have no family history of hip-displaysia. They are wonderful, wonderful dogs.
we call this being a skeeter-pig[the children named it that when they were young some 25 years ago,the label stuck],all our kees do this !! it`s their mad 5 minutes every day,its just bad luck if they choose to do it in the house, because they can wreck everything!I love the way your dog goes into ``play`` position on the settee, then shoots off again extra fast!

Typical Keesie! Mine do the same -- wonderful that they can work off a bit of energy in such short bursts, isn't it?

Breeders sell them for about $1000. Stores sell them for $3000+ (I bought my keeshond at the store but he's worth it .. his name is Turbo)
