0:28.. thats the sound im trying to get.. i have a fender jaguar and a cheap roland dac 80d..
i will change the bridge pickup to a humbucker (single coil case).. can u suggest some? right now i have the possibility to get a dimarzio tone zone or a dimarzio pro track..
and for the rest i need to get a wah pedal and a big muff? thanks
Those are diodes. The Big muff has 2 pairs of diodes inside that you can change. The germainuim diodes are less compressed sounding to me. I'm no expert at describing these things, but after experimenting I settled on one pair of germainuims and the other pair is stock I believe. That's all I know off hand
I liked it better than my regular small stone. Sold the other. They do sound a little different. The small footprint, 9v boss adaptor, and rugged build is what really sold me on the nano. the other one was just fine except for those things

is the cry baby a regular cry baby (ie doesnt have the fasel inductor)

it's a regular crybaby with a halo inductor added and various other mods I've done to make it more useable for me.

its seems like that the tone circuit on the big muff over rides a lot of what amp eq and the guitars tone pot does... is that why u removed it
costaricangeneral 3 years ago
pretty much yes. I also hate the mid scoop on the muff
eyeprod 3 years ago
yeah im having that problem with mine
if i have the mid scoop select turned on on my amp (im using a fender rumble 100 stereo) it cuts out alot of the volume.
i find it cuts out alot of bottom anyway though =/
still nice sounding though =)

in what regards do they sound different? The size and 9v is whats making me lean toward it too :-P

the sweep is different. Similar sound, just not exactly the same. It doesn't sound as vintage-y as the regular small stone

your demos are kick ass, I'm looking forward to much more.
