I agree with you m8, more of a sandbox and awnsering phone calls like side quests besides the main quest(main story) jeez, u think like me that would be a infinite game , as we love, and they earn money ,spend money on a bar or restaurants and some stuff like that, more free roam, i wish every game designer was like u but im afraid since this game has levels, theres an "The End" and will be put back in shelf again :-(
What's with the bouncing the Ghosts on the ground bit? It would have been better to just follow the Movie story line, or make it a sandbox ghost hunting game, like GTA. It would have been better to just have the Ghost busters running around New York and busting Ghosts randomly GTA style, with Missions being Boss Ghost Missions, like powerful Hauntings or something...
Gotta disagree with you there. Too non linear. No balance of scares and laughs. Driving around NYC would just be the same as GTA with a siren. Bosses are too hard to do that way as well.

No I just meant this game sucks... The Ghostbusters are a great idea just that to me this game looks like it sucks... I have experience making games fun to play. It's not easy to do, and with this property a lot could be done with it. This game would be perfect for sitting in the Firehouse and waiting for the phone to ring and rushing out to an unknown random haunting encounter... Imagine a 3rd person X-com with Ghosts...
NEW NEWS: Dan Akroyed while on a radio show stated that the game will be out within a year (probably aound JUNE) and WILL be PUBLISHED by ATARI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now you all know. There No more worrying about the game. Unless you don't believe me - just google it.

There's a Wii version, but it has cartoony graphics. If you don't care what the graphics look like, it'll be just as much fun, because the story and gameplay's pretty much the same.
No..in an interview with terminal reality they said that you cannot make your own ghostbuster..there will be a standard guy for you to play as...then again they may have just said that so we'll be surprised when we get the game.
i think that article said that you could not cross the beams anytime u want, but there is key moments in the game when the beams will cross and cause an unrevield event
the Wii and PS2 will be cartoon-like and will feature a similar story but with several multi-player modes, whereas the PS3, Xbox360, and PC version will be like the one shown here and will be single-player only. the great thing is that this game has been confirmed to be multi-threaded and will take full advantage of today's multi-core processor PC's. this is gonna look amazing with directx 10.1

I think I know what's going to happen when you cross the streams. It's probably gonna turn into the NES version where you'll have to move the Ghostbusters logo across the screen.
In the Gametrailers video on the game, they said Gozer won't be a female, so it might be the original idea that they had to have a man in a business suit as the form Gozer chooses. That and on his myspace, Gene Wilder said in a blog that he was working on a project with Dan Akyroyd and then he ended by saying, do you believe in ghosts? So maybe, just maybe, Gene Wilder voices a character in the game like maybe Gozer.
I'm not sure if I like the add-ons to the proton pack. It just looks too complex to me. Couldn't they have kept the original design and still have the other fire modes?
well supposedly, according to terminal reality, the A.I. ghostbuster team know not to cross the streams so i guess that's why they aren't crossing, but i heard that what we see hee still isn't the finished product like they're still doing work...this game is gonna freakin' rock!!!!
Let's hope this game doesn't include a store where we'll have to buy our equipment. I wonder how it will be to suck ghosts from the trap on the top of the car :)
I think they might because Ghostbusters gets paid after the cases are done. I hope they let us change the Ghostbusters uniforms black from "Ghostbusters 2" or the the colored one from the cartoons "The Real Ghostbusters".
Thankfully, I don't think that happens, I just think that the money you get is used to upgrade the current proton pack. No buying traps or proton packs or ghost vacuums, thank God.
The game looks a bit rough around the edges, but I'm sure they'll be smoothed out by the release date. In any case, this game looks like it'll be a lot of fun.

There's a Wii version, but it has cartoony graphics. If you don't care what the graphics look like, it'll be just as much fun, because the story and gameplay's pretty much the same.
