Oh man, I agree 100% with you. I got a 100 dollar sony amp plus some JBL bookshelf speakers and they absolutely dominate the z-2300 satellites. I put the sub in a better box and it fucking pounds like a 12.

listen closely to these, compared with, say sets from creative or altec or klipsch, from a similar category as these speakers. what you'll notice is that the logitech may have the loudest bass but not necessarily the deepest, and that the logitech woofers sound rather rough when it comes to music with detailed bass passages.
but its okay, as long as youre satisfied with it youre definitely entitled to your opinion.

I have a setup, its pretty funny, its a logitec sub hooked to a alted sub hooked to altec top speakers hooked to jbl desktop speakers. when working together the logitec set supplies the bass the altec supplies the mid lows the jbl supplies the mids and the altec top speakers supply the hi's when on tuned correctly its the best set up ive ever had.
its gd, but i still dont think sony are in the professional audio series, try going for JBL, with a gd receiver, so that u can add a lot of speakers, i mean subs is completely unessecary

yeah, jbl are so expensive, the main thing that lead me to the muteki was the 4 subwoofers, each one is 200 watts and thats a total of 800 watts of bass! im guessing that that should shake the house, my z-5500 has a 180 watt subwoofer and that shakes the the house

if ure plugging a PC to a receiver for audio, use optical link such as TOSLINK, its a black square shaped input. i usually use HDMI for videos or images.
all u have to make user is that u have a gd receiver that can plug all these speakers, and has dolby surround techonology, espectilly dolby pro logic IIx/logic 7. so its basically a home cinema system, if gonna plug this to the PC, ull definitely have to have a SPDIF connection,
well lets see, if they do pride with a receiver then of course it is going to be gd, since they will definitely give one that of fully compatible with the speaekrs, but i didnt know they will give u a receiver or an AMP,

If you have a big room, your foundations won't shake but if you have a small room they will vibrate. but if you really want to break foundations I recommend you get the Velodyne 15" DLR-5000R which runs at 1000watts compared to this 120watt subwoofer.
this is a 2.1 speaker system for a computer, it is made for a computer. look it up...logitech Z-2300. There are many 2.1 and even 5.1 systems for computers

Looks good, but if you take the sub out of the box and do a free air with this song on half volume, it breaks the sub in better and will give you much better excursion when you put it back in the box. I recently did this to two of my subs and they sound much better than they did with the normal break in process.
yeah not to mention It'l have the chance of bottoming its ass out onto the magnet and rip the surround and spider apart.. if your succesful with breaking it in by free air then enjoy louder, crappier sounding bass..
Only if you push the sub too hard, will it sound like crap and run the risk of damaging the voice coil and surrounding suspension. I don't allow my subs to distort or bottom out during free air, I gradually turn up the volume until I reach a safe level. Most people who do free air excursions vids, only do so to show off their subs excursion, I on the other hand do so to improve the sound and power of my subs. Free air for me has resulted in more accurate and louder bass, which is a good thing!
Sometimes it can be better, but with dumb nuts on youtube, your better not giving advice, they will max the sub and break it in too much and that results in crappy sounding bass, then they will cry.

all you hear is loud, low bass that can't play clean passages or articulate passages because they're way too boomy.

i would get the z5500 if you want amazing bass if you 200 pounds it is well worth it

Looks good, but if you take the sub out of the box and do a free air with this song on half volume, it breaks the sub in better and will give you much better excursion when you put it back in the box. I recently did this to two of my subs and they sound much better than they did with the normal break in process.

yeah not to mention It'l have the chance of bottoming its ass out onto the magnet and rip the surround and spider apart.. if your succesful with breaking it in by free air then enjoy louder, crappier sounding bass..

Only if you push the sub too hard, will it sound like crap and run the risk of damaging the voice coil and surrounding suspension. I don't allow my subs to distort or bottom out during free air, I gradually turn up the volume until I reach a safe level. Most people who do free air excursions vids, only do so to show off their subs excursion, I on the other hand do so to improve the sound and power of my subs. Free air for me has resulted in more accurate and louder bass, which is a good thing!

Sometimes it can be better, but with dumb nuts on youtube, your better not giving advice, they will max the sub and break it in too much and that results in crappy sounding bass, then they will cry.

you can put the volume to max
its made for it, but some songs are louder than others, in this case you'll hear it ;) then put down the volume and nothing will happen
