  • Can i use Logic on PC?

  • How can apple shitty gay logic be better than FL STUDIO?? You guys are fucktards who think it is better...COMPARE THEM,USE THEM BOTH YOU WILL SEE THE FUCKING DIFFERENCE..Idiots ... Apple Logic Studio Gay 8 :D Made in Gambia at 1890

  • This software of that software can't do nothing unless the person using it is good...

SO Who is the best at getting the best out of this tools.?

  • IVE BEEN AN FL STUDIO USER FROM PAST 3 AND A HALF YEARS. BUT 8 MONTHS BACK I THOUGHT TO GIVE LOGIC A TRY. AND IVE BEEN USING LOGIC SINCE THEN. FL STUDIO IS ALSO GOOD. BUT NOT COMPARABLE TO LOGIC. :]

  • This is where you dealing with.

A mac that runs Logic or Protools.

    The very best combination.

    Forget about windows.

never seen one single studio with it.

  • I still don't get why people say this software is industry standard when windows based sequencers have more flexibilities in VSTi's and plugins. Apple won't be able to monopolize softwares unless they get the system working like microsoft.

  • I hate APPLE for ditching Logic for Windows in 2002. Buy it up and make a freakin' monopoly of it, geez. But what the heck, why would I want to upgrade my perfect PC version of Logic Audio v5.51 upto bloaty point anyway? I just need to control the MIDI flow and a good sequencer, I don't mix any audio within Logic or use softsynths or additional effects, I simply record it straight from REAL hardware instruments+setting effects on them with Adobe Audition recording in the background.

  • logic IS the best, hands down

  • Pro Tools is just as good. But, PT works with both Mac AND Windows, and that is a very important factor. That means I'm able to use it on Mac's, and also on my home computer. Just making it for Mac means I'll never buy it, because I need to have a program that works on both systems. I know quite a few people with the same thoughts.

  • is this just a better version of garage band

  • Pro Tools 8 and Cubase 5 are much better than this overbloated poorly coded software.

  • your smoking CRACK!!!!!

    Logic is now industry standard!!

  • does it work on windows?

  • no

    windows is bad anyway

    a mac user has spoken^^

  • i see

  • yes it does....

  • how does it sound like paper?

and have you ever used logic? i love it WAY more than sonar 8.

  • sonar is amazing.. idk about logic, ive never used it

  • nah run windows 98 with a pirated copy of MAGIX 3... works like a charm

  • Wow your a fuckin douche. Logic Studio is $500 for a reason...

  • Guys please check out my track made on logic any comments would be appreciated thanks.

  • ey i wanted to know if you can install logic studio even if you dont have mac and if it will still work answer plzz anyone

  • No. Google is your friend, I suggest you use it.

  • Logic is Mac specific requiring OS X.

  • you can use the latest version of logic audio platinum on the pc, logic 5.5.1.

many mac people will laugh at this and demand you go buy logic pro 8, but logic5.5.1 is still a very heavy musicmaking tool. and it works on the pc.

  • I got the apogee duet my mac recognizes it in and outs lights up when I speak into condenser mic but I am getting no output to the head phones connected to my apogee wtf iz wrong????:()

  • whats better fl or logic?

  • no comparison.....two different way to approach NIRVANA

  • lool what do u think mate. f.l studio has developed over the years but logic is on a next level.

  • Does logic work for windows?

  • no

MAC bought it so its exclusive to them now

i'll be getting a mac for recording maybe

    windows SUX...

  • yeah, windows sucks! I'm buying a mac also for recording

  • im on windows for this PC

its got all my internets and work on it

there'll be a split with work/fun between the mac and PC

  • thats usually the attitude.. when you don't know whats under the hood of your car.. ! its good you are using the fischer price look ... macs.. i have seen them crashing in hanging worse than windows

  • what do you mean?

I am looking for an Imac soon for recording with logic etc.

I used SX3 on my Windows PC, it was stable but the PC was slow and a choked a bit when you had too much going on at one time.

  • if you put in the same amount you can definately make a far better config than the i mac...

and logic is really sloppy in handling audio session.. if you insist on being on a mac.. go for protools... its a better DAW for audio anyday.

  • and then pay for a digidesign :s

I am still looking about it, I have Ableton, Reason, Cubase, amongst others for PC. I prefer Cubase for it's all in one, it's where I learned everything really compared to a bit on Pro Tools.

If I can create a cheaper FAST PC or customize my order then I will, and screw Vista too haha

  • no it does not...

but you should look at cubase .. ergonomically and fx plugins are not as hot as logic but apart from that it is IMO more powerful than logic.

if you are into mixing and post production ...buy a mac install logic.. but for greater workflow as acomposer .. try cubase

  • i have a question about logic, can i plug in my keyboard (MIDI) and record it and does this have like piano roll?

  • when i have used logic before it was very easy with the midi keys, i just plugged it in via the USB and hey presto logic hooked it up immediatedly, not sure what you mean by piano roll though?

  • wehn u can click in the notes u want wherever and make them long, its like a vertical piano on the right and a grid where u put the notes

  • aaah, yes i remember that now, cheers :)

  • does logic have it though?

  • yes it does, definatly, logic was where i remember it from.

  • Yes 2 both questions, ibulcaansc11

  • I have a Kore 2 with Logic 8 and a Novation remote SL.When I work out how to use them I will be back to comment here

  • Some people fall in love with a certain feature of a program and proclaim it as the winner, but you have to consider overall features & overall Logic is the best IMHO.

  • Serious question to people that have used Logic live & have also used hardware boards.

    1. How stable is Logic using just internal sound engine + some audio on MacBook Pro?

    2. Is Mainstage pretty rock solid for live applications?

    3. How do the sounds compare to keys like Motif XS,Fantom, Korg?

N.B. Please do not offer other platforms as in "Ableton is much better" etc, I am only interested in Logic.

    Thank YOU! :)

  • 1. Amazing....no other compares...Pro Tools is a long shot at best...Cubase is extremely good too (2nd best), but nowhere near

    2. I can't speak for this section. However I've heard rather good things about it.

    3. Apples to oranges...sounds are good, but they are two VERY separate products.

    Hope I could help!

  • Ableton Live is the best DAW period. Nothing comes close, not even Pro Tools or Logic, or Fruity Loops.

  • as a live user myself, I hope you're joking.

Live is buggy. It often shuts off my audio outputs just because it feels like it.

Till live 7, audio editing was a total pain in the ass.

Granted live is easy to use, but it has a lot of annoying limitations

  • Live is great for Live performance and Jamming ideas, but it's about a decade behind logic in terms of in depth control. Logic wipes the floor with Live over all. I use both.

  • is this beating fl studio?

  • lol... not even close.

  • Are you kidding? FL is a baby compared to Logic!

  • @aidonone they're both babies when u compare them to playing actual instruments now calm down and stop arguin....

  • Thats the dumbest comment i've ever read. and so is the original comment.... Logic makes FL look like child's play...

Congratulations, you just made yourself look like a complete moron.

  • hell yeah

  • LOL im suprised anyone even brings "FL" into comparison to Logic... I mean seriously. Get Real. Logic is the new industry standard in music production.

  • Actually Logic has always been the sequencing program for pros as it's MIDI sync has always been the best, better than Cubase's, Pro Tools's MIDI is not that excellent, some say it's nowhere near Logic/Cubase, so now that Logic has improved dramatically in the DAW spec I would say it is the best DAW for smaller projects and by far still the best sequencing program, sync is still the best on the market.

  • @djlance2006 totally agree

  • wow i hope this was sarcasm

  • dude, this is where its at

  • I've used Garage Band for a long time, only decided to try out the Logic Express 8 since I was told it's similar to GB! Now that I install it, but I can't make the loops or tracks play in the Inspector window, any clue? thanks!
