Well, Miami might be nice to visit. I went there once. I'm born and raised Daytona Beach, FL and Florida gets boring for many after a while. You should just visit. Oh, by the way, If you are still living in New York, my sister and I are planning a trip in May. Any ideas?
Go for it! I moved from New Orleans to NJ. I can't say I like it here but because I suffer from a disease called complacency, I've been here way too long. Follow your heart; I'm slowly learning how to follow mine.
Young man! Follow your Dreams! Follow your Heart! And Always Keep God in your Big Wonderful-Wonderful Heart. Remain A Good and Honest Person. God Bless you young Man! Make that move to Miami and continue to live your life!
Jared Miami is my home...I was borned and raised here. I moved away for 10 years and now i'm back...it feels good to be home. Despite the negative comments, I know you are aware of how GREAT my city is! Looking forward to having you here sir!
OH MI GOD!! im so jealous of u going to Miami. I feel that i need to get away too and finally live. School is holding me back. I dont want to keep transferring. I want to lead a healthy academic road you know.
Aww we missed you nice to see your blogging again... um what you said was so true your environment can make the word of a difference in your state of being... I say GO FOR IT... go where God leads you i say...Oh and love the A. Keys in the background
Good luck, Jared. If you move to Miami you will IMMEDIATELY notice the huge drop in intellectual capacity, particularly in the same-gender-loving community of color. But, like every desert, you can find an oasis. I have. Good luck, man.
Lol@Sleekcartim. Right on the money. Luckily, there is a tight-knit SGL community of color here, and there are definitely really cool, down-to-earth, intelligent brothas within that group. I'm so blessed to have found them because otherwise life would have been a lot more unpleasant. Lol. But, plastic is a perfect word to describe South Florida period.
I totally understand what your talking about when referring to Miami. I love the water it feels like thats where I need to be and I know thats a place I would retire to eventually. Good Luck with your move, the only thing you need to do is follow your heart and everything else will fall into place. Happy New Years!!!!!
Good Luck on the move Jared! Change of environment is a good thing. I was b & r in NC. Move to Tampa when I got out of HS. Been here every since. It's just a complete difference in everything. But most of all it help me grow.
