  • @sevendust

Think that was a joke. I dunno my

Parents are French an English and both families love to make jokes of similar tone.

  • Not I that I thought it was bad

  • @GAISENSE

    Well sure yes...

It was terrorists that orchestrated 911, sure,

however it seems it wasn't who the terrorists, the other terrorists blamed it on. Even with the "relatively" recent FBI website update, admitting that, still, the overall subject is taboo.

I fail to see how that excuses any comedic shortcutcummings.

  • How come Jewish comedians in the USA are some of the best, yet Israeli comedy is shite.

  • @capitalsho

the USA is an old country with loads of comedy history. Israel is רelatively, a new country, only 62 years old. in the course of our short history, comedy has been filtrated by the pain of the holocaust and the continues war with our neighboring counties and terror organizations. thus, a lot of things became tabu in Israeli humor. Thus, the comedy and humor culture hasn't been developed.

so, Israeli comedy isn't good indeed.

  • NO EXCUSES! I want laughs!

  • @GAISENSE sooo wrong...

That is just not a good scence, you see....

  • Funny, but the 'In God We Trust' dollar is climbing again. Shalom.

  • pritty funny =)

  • no we want...

we allways making fun on that that Israelies not really good in english...

    and specially french...

And you americans also twisting a lot of words...

like Mazal tov, you saying it really diffrent...

    you saying "Mazh-al tove".

    but we saying "Ma-zal tov"

  • I'm not talking about accents. I have no problem with Israelis speaking English with a Hebrew accent. That's perfectly understandable, and I have no problem with it. Likewise, then, Israelis ought to understand Americans speaking Hebrew with an English accent.

What I'm complaining about is Israelis misusing English words and absolutely mangling their meanings and/or pronunciations, even after Americans correct them.

To put a tet at the end of "Chevrolet" is not merely an issue of accent.

  • to be honsest israel is one of the only countries that dont speak english when english is as important as math and that speak english to the tourist i've been in france italy germany and turkey they dont talk english at all...

  • True, but God spoke to its people of Israel and written the Bible in Hebrew, so might as well preserve it.

Though I agree- it's only reasonable to know other languages as well when going abroad or communicating with non-Israelis.

  • yeah right!!

i been in italy and took me everytime an hour to find someone that know english.

most of the people that knew english there was tourists

  • @21IncHlONg don't make me laugh. we learn 5 hours of english every week since 4th grade (and my young brothers begun learning in 2nd grade).

compared to other countries (and i'm not talking about china, im talking about Europe) the level of english in israel is great.

  • @21IncHlONg depends on the people? you cant expect the same education for the entire poplation. students study english in various levels, depending on their achievements and grades. (as well as math, biology, physics and etc) as part of my studies, english occupies a very large proportion. therefore my english is slightly above the avrage then the regular. (atleast then the ones you've met on your trips)
