  • i tuned my own s2000 and clocked 57.7 sec on the same track in gran turismo. not that anybody would believe it :P

  • then appeared the gt86 with 700 hp xD

  • what a fucking beast

  • it's like I'm playing Gran Turismo in B-Spec mode.. LoL

  • 2011 エボミ 56″959 九州男児NSX☆冨吉R

    That car is faster!!! :P

  • @hondaresan I believe that NSX is turbocharged. Listen to the video closely. this s2000 is naturally aspirated record holder.

  • Just how quick doest that thing shift?? There's hardly a dip when he shifts at all!

  • @demonstructie Downforce :] he focused well on downforce and kept the car glued to the ground very nice.

  • @AznBoi0wnz No I mean there's hardly any decrease in power transfer, If you compare the first bit (practice lap) to the timed lap (with the on screen timer), you'll hear a major difference when the driver shifts gears. In the practice lap there's a dip after each gear change, like a short pause, which is normal because it takes time for the gearbox to select a different gear. In the timed lap however, there's no noticable dip at all, it just picks up and builds up revs immediately. Awesome!

  • @demonstructie Too bad over here, The average idiot call these cars ricer. While we appreciate the detail :]

  • @demonstructie I know right? like a motorcycle lol

  • i think this time has since been beaten by a amemiya 20b na rx-7, not sure tho

  • @thaboss32 and amemiya rx7's time has been beaten by NSX =)

  • what do you think of storking the f20c to 2.4L with NA induction? is it good? will the car rev slower?

  • @lobzdik it will rev slower because of the added rotational mass at the crank

  • i was wondering why he was driving like my grandma for the first 2 minuts..then he got on it lol

  • if this is a all motor s2000 from asm then its shitting on top fuel 700hp s2000!!! one second different but with 400hp more from the top fuel!

  • @TaLoCc this is my reference about its not only about power like alot of people thinking this fucking bodykit is insane lol

  • @TaLoCc

what does a 700whp 1/4 mile S2k have to do with the ASM track S2K? Neither car would do well at the others event so what are you getting at?

  • @KrushKrills wells the power from top fuel is off the chart and its full carbon

  • Damn I want a shifter like that on mine....

  • damn imagine how much time that straight shifter saved. every second counts.

  • someone got the 51sec mark

  • the coolest thing? nah, the coolest thing is all the stupid comments all the kids who dont even own cars leave on youtube car-related videos. all this one needs is the proverbial "V8 domestic" guy, and it will be complete. oh, we need a new jersey puerto rican to say something in spanish, too.

  • that thing is basically a GT300 car with an unlimited budget (autobacs). Pretty difficult to compete with that. Just like when Chevrolet whipped everyone's ass with a Cobalt a few years ago at the US event. Just the transmission in this car is over 15,000USD.

  • Finally an S2000 with a proper sequential dogbox.

  • this is almost 5 sec a lap faster than new GTR skyline stock

  • Those are some lightning fast shifts/clutch engagement.

  • @abnormalmindset its a sequential automatic... He's using a ratchet shifter. There is actually no clutch pedal at all in cars like this so all he doesn't even have to let off when he shifts.

  • @Mr450 you said turbos lag, and that v8's wont lag.. i was implying that you'd ruin the weight balance

  • @Mr450 Put a v8 in an s2000.

  • @S2KANDWRX and ruin its weight distribution?

  • i believe they already had it at 57++

  • damn isnt the record like 57 they almost have it!

  • @Mr450 what do u mean initial power? as far as i know roots and twinscrew scs give power from the time u hit the go pedal whereas turbos need exhaust pressure to spool and make power tho turbos do have a huge advantage in flexibilty...

  • insane downforce grip!!!

    What a last corner

  • Awesome! ITB or a Turbo is the way to go . ITB can hold it's own. Superchargers just doesn't cut it and that's why you don't see them winning or even in mid pack.

  • @TrackAttackMiata its not about what u got its about how u set it up superchargers can hold agains turbo easy just people are lazy and go turbo just cuz its easier

  • Strange... is that transmission/clutch system similar to the ones they have on Gumpert Apollo?

  • The Gumpert does have a sequential transmission but does not have straight cut gears

  • the fastest is 56 by J's S2k

  • ASM is the fastest NA out there. either this or the RE Amemiya FD3S

  • i wonder what that S2K does at the 1/4 mile...that thing is beast!

  • According to ASM:

    2.2L Toda stroked F20c w. 12:1 Toda pistons.

    276whp@ 8250rpm

  • PURE SEX

  • i think i could build and drive an na car faster. any takers?

  • I dnt think so. The mazda FD i think has it. anyhow 58 secs for an NA race engine by TOda is not bad. ARTA NSX JGTC is about 51sec range. highly tuned turbo cars were in a 55 second range.

  • NO IT'S NOT!!!!!! Look at 1:13, it's F20C TODA 2.4L engine with 305hp...look at also (CC)= 2377

    idiot.

  • holy mother. that car made it fast as JGTC arta NSX .

  • omg!!!!!!!THIS SOUND IS AMAZING.....

  • This is an old vid. I've seen another video where this same car breaks 57.5 at Tsukuba.

BTW... The 'S' in Tsukuba is silent...

  • You mean the "T" right?

  • nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo maybe

  • watch?v=uX8R-JEQXKQ

According to this video, its Skuba LOL! But then again, he said Impreza pretty funny.

  • the t is silent i can assure you that. like sukuba

  • Wrong it's the T that is silent. Anyways who cares. How much does one of these bad boys cost?

  • 58 is really the NA record?

  • I just say it like SCUBA LOL thats what it sounds like to me xD. So i guess its SUKUBA xD

  • can anyone tell me how to pronounce tsukuba? is it tuskuba or sukuba or tukuba?

  • tsu-ku-ba

300+ HP outta a small NA 4 cylinder

also the aero is just completely awesome.

bet you if they had the money: GT300 Champions!

  • tscoobuh

  • impressive!

  • thats one hell of a driver

  • I LOVE 'NA' SOUND !^^

    stay for kanagawa jp thanks!

  • ITBS2000 for the win!

  • wow, some of these comments ive read are retarded. dumbest one was the AWD comment. s2k has nearly perfect weight balance, so why would they make it awd? sequential trannies DO HAVE CLUTCHES! what you think it was a tourque converter? you dont need to use the clutch when up shifting, but you do need to use it when down shifting. And race cars are pushed to the starting line because they have unsprung ceramic clutches (this is why nascar burn out when they leave the pits, they cant help it)

  • Mwaaaaahhhh!!! HAAAAA!!!!

Nice vid - fast as frickin frick. Like the fastness of it and that... Smooooootttthhhhhhh

  • what is the name of that gearbox ??

    where to buy it ?

  • It's a hewland sgt-s

  • the asm is rwd that awd

  • umm, no you don't, with a sequential gearbox the clutch is only used for pulling away...

  • and downshifts. Only f1 and certain very high end race cars have auto blip and clutching for downshifts.

  • this car is amazing, its 305hp , it weighs 1300kg, and it manages such an amazing time, the last video i watched said it was 4wd, but how did they get it to 4wd?

  • Its not AWD, its RWD and that was a mistake in that video, it weighs a lot less than 1300KG.

  • I like that gearbox, up and down only, no clutch right? anyone?

  • Yep Sequential Manual. Just match the revs and no clutch needed.

  • Thanks, where can I get the Sequential Manual / Gearbox for my Honda Accord? :)

  • If you can pony up about 12k cash then go for it.

  • how long that gearbox will last? 1 race? 10 races?

I mean can you do about 50Kkm on it?

  • no... you can use it for ever. the JPGT500 uses it. also, Most of the le mans cars use sequential shifting

  • You must be an idiot. It's not for everyday driving...

  • Why does that matter, shit head?

  • Prelude H22a5 is losted...he doesn't understand than this car and Manual-SGB is not constructed for all day driving.

  • i would love to see this car up against the re amemiya rx7 na...

my money would still be on the asm s2k..

    S2K NA FTW!

  • beaaaassstttt

  • 筑波

  • REALLY LIKE THE SOUND WHEN SHIFT UP...

  • what was that hose connected to the bumper doing at the start of the vid? Forgive my ignorance

  • AIR JACK

  • it makes 300whp cuz of the toda 100mm stroker kit, that goes for $8,800. just use a TSX K24 crank and H22a rods on an F20C and its the same displacement for 1/8 the price.

  • turbo mag?

  • Would be incredibly hard to control that car.S2000's are very snappy around corners especially with high torque NA's at high RPM Driver is good. Car is good. Lap time is good.

  • Wouldnt the ARTA NSX be faster...?

  • i think he needs to tighten up the steering ratio for this track, he keeps getting his arms crossed up.

  • wowoowowowowowow damn that shit is fast

  • did i read it right?? it only has 305 hp and 300 lbs torque?....

  • true but it weighs less than 1150kg probably.

  • i think its at the wheels my brotha

  • that's right. proven again. nothing but the truth. the fastest japanese NA wears the 'H' badge.

  • almost like a f1 engine

  • @ dflet03

Yeah it does. Car reviewers such as Top Gear, C&D, and etc made remarks about that.

  • Nice!

  • hmmm im certain this car is NOT street legal. but not taking anything away from asm. great work on building one of the few s2000s i actually respect. its best time is 57.488 tho. its dead on with the mines r34 so that is impressive.

  • Lol they drive pretty much anything they want on the street in Japan.

  • i cant see anyone driving this car in the roads, the replacemnt cost for all those carbon panels are too much. but its still an awesome car.

Out of curiousity does it put out 300hp and 300lbft torque to the wheels? or is that the crankshaft rating?

  • Comment removed

  • ya its a pretty crazy motor. but I doubt 330bhp translates to 310-315whp, I am thinking closer to 290whp.

  • Not 330bhp my mistake, they said on flywheel testing about 320bhp with ITBs @big 10500rpm from 2.0 or 2.2 i don't know exactly. ~290-295whp.

  • Comment removed

  • I regret to say after voting him down, that he is correct. If you look carefully, it is bored out.

  • Are u blind?? Awfully.

  • its says on the video it is a 2.4 litre enigne and has 305 ps which i think is around 300hp

  • ~274hp

  • a mechanic once decribed tourque and hp to me as tourque is how hard a boxer can hit you and hp is how many times he can hit you .lol

  • Torque is how much force the engine can pull

Hp or "Power" is how FAST the engine can deliver that force.

Easy demo -- A tractor has Massive Torque (can pull HUGE loads, but it can't put that power out fast so the tractor can only go like 30mph.

  • your all talking about horsepower like it's the only thing that matters. the question you should be asking is "how much does it weigh". another video show's that it's 1300kg's, which is mostlikely a typo, considering a stock s2k weighs about 1240kg. if i were to guess i would say it weighs about 950-1000kg's and that's under a ton. if anyone know what the actual weight is then i would like to know.

  • Exactly, balance means everything for a race car.

  • 975kgs including cage.

    reference: hondatuningmagazine

  • anyone know the HP?

  • 295 bhp

    290 torque

    i think?!?

  • 295 and 290 are the setting of the Cam Shaft

    ^^

    295 IN

    290 EX

  • Yeah that kind of handling comes from 50/50 weight dist. and double wishbone suspension.

  • Where do you get nitrous from watching this video?? If you got the idea from the Dry sump oil resivoir on the passenger floor pan then you are mistaken. Did anyone catch the fact that the Toda powerplant was a 2.4L I wonder what the bore and stroke is?

  • I can´t see it very clearly but it looks like 87x100 bore and stroke.

  • dont know check out bulletproof automotive they sell the complete engine ...ask for specs

  • s2k damn nice car

  • Naturally Aspirated

  • Hey how many horsepower did that s2000 have??

  • horsepower doesn't move you its torque

  • I know bro I was just askin, but HP is important too.

  • im not sure but i think about 320 or something like that. and horsepower does move u torque is what gets u going and horsepower keeps u going.

  • Uh horsepower is top speed so yes it moves you

  • Please explain why a F1-engine accelerates faster in a vehicle than a equivelent torqued diesel? Given a static weight.

Power get's you going people. Power is a function of torque. More torque at a specified rpm is more power. More power is more force for acceleration and or top speed. Meaning a faster car in a straight line.

  • That's because it's a very high and fast revving engine that spends the vast majority of it's time at or near it's powerband. That's also why the gears tend to be so short on f1 cars. Torque is what pulls from low revs, hp is what accelerates from high revs.

The diesel won't accelerate as quickly, because although it might beat a gas engine from the line, it will lose a considerable amount of power as it reaches the top of its rather small powerband.

  • Torque is how much work can be done. Power is how fast it can be done. Think of a land speed record car. They don't need power...they need TORQUE. They need the effort from the engine to push the car through the air at that speed = more work.

  • Actually that car needs power to "drive" the car forward.

    F = resistance in Newton

    v = the speed in m/s

    P = power in Watt

    P = F*v

But that forward power says nothing about the torque. The engine could be turning 20000 rpm or just 200. If we incorporate the rpm's in the possible equation we can determine the torque. Power is a function of torque and revolutional rate.

We need both to achieve a speed and or acceleration.

  • not really, theres no weight over the rear tires, and theres no downforce at 0 mph, the car is still cold, so the thing has no grip

  • How do they do standing starts for every race if they need to be pushed. You must have never watched an F1 race have you?

  • Never said they have to be pushed, they barely can get off the line.

  • Ah yes, agreed. Lots of wheel spin if they try to take off, but once they get moving they go like they are being shot out of a gun.

  • man that was faster than a nigger out of TK maxx..... Vtec is the shit

  • i know this guy hes a knobjockey and hes half black although he looks like a nazi

  • oi you Wog go and do a wheelie off a step and let the gears slip and you go over the handlebars...what happened?

  • lol you remember that i fell

you fell and were skiding on your back by tescos

  • get a better driver and the lap time would be even fast

  • wow its fast for a na

  • isn't the JGTC ARTA NSX the fastest NA? in Tsukuba?

  • jus noticed it has a seq. shifter

  • ASM Baby!!!!

  • The "sawing" back and forth was to warm the tires up. . .

  • that steering back and forth is to get rid of under steer....anyone commenting on his bad driving...well he is a prof. driver getting payed for it and your not..i think he knows some stuff

  • sequential shifter... the poster who mentioned 100k into this car isn't lying!

  • His steering is very weird. Sawing on the wheel, most Driving schools try to teach smooth inputs... very odd.

  • He's driving just fine, since he is going in and out of turns as fast as possible he has to 'snap back' at the wheel to prevent the car from sliding/spinning out.

  • I guess he needs to learn about drifting then.

  • For a time attack you obviously wouldn't want to drift, wahaha.

  • What S2000 owner isn't going to favorite this? All good stuff. Once I get my check for $100,000(never), I'll have the same setup. Thanks for the groundwork anyways, five stars.

  • i agree...NOS is for biotches and wimps.

  • nos is for bitches.

  • Only street cars use nos, not track cars......

  • Uh, almost all race cars have buttons on their steering wheels. F1, Indy, JGTC...That doesn't mean it's nos. This isn't the fast and the furious.

  • S2 , you're pathetic. Just because the steering wheel has adjustment buttons doesn't mean its Nitrous Oxide.

  • at least he broke a minute thats very impressive

  • very nice setup ^^

    fast car !

  • MCR GTR doesn't use NOS or any form of nitrous. It's scramble boost so more like an overboost button.

Momentum is something different than Torque or moment as it is called in Dutch. power actually is torque.

    P = M*2*pi*n

They can't easily get more power out of such an engine. The longer stroke limit's the rpm's. With that you limit your power and it's mainly decided via torque

  • But you also need to remember that longer stroke means more torque, and torque x rpm = power. So if you had shortened the stroke you would get more rpm, but less torque. Therefore it isn't certain that you would get more power.

  • A general rule is that a long stroked engine peaks sooner. This doesn't mean you generate more power as the drop rate occurs sooner.

An equivelent engine with the same displacement but a shorter stroke can generate more power. It has less piston- speed, acceleration and side wall loading.

Off course this a general statement and can't be applied to every individual engine.
